No, not a fanboy in the least. It's just absolutely hilarious how some of you members respond to other members leaving behind the 5thgen. You guys are real car enthusiasts.

2014 mustang looks alot better than the 2015...It's not IRS but it's good enough. Drop it, put some good suspension into it and it will ride fine. Mustangs need to be lowered.

I'll say it before and I'll say it again, assumptions can be a dangerous thing. It takes a truly "thick in the head" person to think that there couldn't be any other reasons at play besides being a fanboy. I'm not in the least a Ford or mustang supporter (or any other brand for that matter). I don't feel I need to explain myself any further, so let's just leave it at that.

You want a Mustang because it now has IRS.
You are waiting for the Gen 6 Camaro, though, because it is going to be a halo car (which no one knows anything about).

Step away from the keyboard because you are rambling.
I wouldn't get rid of my GTO until the 1LE was released, yes. The upgraded bits, in my opinion, should have been offered stock on the vehicle in 2010 and would made me upgrade back then, even if it were an option package. Yes, I was rambling, more of an existential exercise that anything

Yeah, sounds about right, LOL

No, the GTO was comparable to a stock Camaro... and I payed $22,000 for that vehicle in 2005 with 1,500 miles on it... the Camaro's platform and aftermarket make it a superior chassis, obviously, but if you are dumping money in already the performance (was) about the same up until recently...

My wife & I have been busy trying to stimulate the American economy with our vehicle purchases of the past 3 years. We put our 4 kids thru college & are empty nesters now so we've playing a bit.

2007 Caddy Escalade - used
2008 Chevy Avalanche LTZ - used
2009 Yamaha FZ1 - new
2010 Challenger SRT8 - new
2010 Mustang GT - new
2011 Yamaha Stryker - new
2011 Kawasaki Ninja 650 - new
2012 Ford Escape - new
2012 Chevy Camaro SS/RS -new
2014 Yamaha Bolt - new
Sounds good - let me know how it goes and yes, the front doesn't really COMPLETELY do it for me but with a little dress up from the GT350/other SVT models should do the trick. Just like the original Camaro SS didn't quite "do it for me"...

But the next gen being considerably lighter I believe is already a done deal. Alpha is much lighter than Zeta, so at least we have a good foundation to start with. Look at the fullsize CTS sedan which starts in the 3,600 lb range. Still better than a V6 Camaro. Guess we can just wait and see!
You bet! C7 Z51 Stingrays are tipping the scales at around 3,450lbs. I just have a hard time seeing the car being any less than 3,650-3,700lbs with a V8 if the CTS V6 is coming in at 3,600lbs, even with a slightly de-tuned version of the LT1. We will see!

Seems that we share the same outlook! Beware the nutswingers! I love cars, not companies. Although I am fairly partial to GM as my Uncles, Grandfather etc all worked for them and my family has owned upwards of 10 GM vehicles in the last 20 years including 5 Suburbans, a Corvette, a GTO, and... gasp... ONE MUSTANG! Haha! Just can't wait for both cars to come out and usher in a new generation of performance vehicles!!!
