I might have to buy a 2015-16 Mustang GT350.

Chevy is going to have to hit the 6th Gen Camaro out of the park. My 1LE is what the SS SHOULD have been. Coming from a 2005 GTO, there was no incentive for me to upgrade - comparable performance for an overall larger and heavier platform.

My first car was a 2003 Mustang GT, which was an awesome car, but the stick axle was shiot, and the 2005 Mustang didn't continue with the Cobra's IRS (a car I would still like to own one day), which instantly killed it for me. I know they can work extremely well in racing application, but as a DD I will always want to not break my a$$ on things.

The 2015 Mustang is coming with a "new" 5-link borrowed from the Fusion with optional 6 pot front brakes and a motor loosely based on the Boss 302 (the 2011 5.0 ALMOST lured me back to Mustangs, but the solid axle still killed it for me, and until the day comes when I can own three or four vehicles at a time, I'm sticking with an IRS). Chevy has learned a lot from the ZL1 and Z/28 which should translate well - just look at the upcoming 2015 Z06 Corvette. I also dig the design language of the new Mustang - global, clean and American.

No agenda here, I can't wait for the new Camaro, I'm guessing about 100lbs lighter, LT1, and 1LE slash Z/28 style suspension/wheel/tire combo derivative, perhaps an option on the SS.

One thing is for sure... the Halo Camaro is going to be sick

I'm with you. I very much like the S550. Regardless of what the next gen Camaro will look like or how it will perform, I think I'm purchasing a GT350 instead.

Yikes!

Always love the threads of "hey I'm buying a car no one knows anything about yet because we don't know anything about the other car no one knows anything about".

But aren't we all speculators?

OP, what exactly are you saying?
You had a GTO that you wouldn't get rid of for a Camaro, yet you have a Camaro.
The 1LE is what the SS should have been, even though the 1LE is an option package on an SS.
You want a Mustang because it now has IRS.
You are waiting for the Gen 6 Camaro, though, because it is going to be a halo car (which no one knows anything about).

Step away from the keyboard because you are rambling.

I'm still of the opinion the 13-14 Mustang is better looking then the 2015. Ford dropped the ball on the design imho
