Power went out twice for a few seconds and now it's a balmy 41 degrees.

Close to 24 hrs without power in my neighborhood, although the 25 K gen set is running the whole house just fine.
The wind was the worse I've experienced here....but the tree damage, at least on my land, was nothing at all...as opposed to major destruction in last yrs storms, no leaves on the trees played a big role in that.
I've got a few major size trees in striking distance of the house & garage, made for a very bad night of sleep.

My guess is your pool cover stayed in place. I didn't see it in my backyard.

Well...we know that those in the east over-react to many of these things.

Everytime there is a storm here in the east they talk like it's going to be a killer storm.

Remember the boy who cried wolf??
