I'll be sure to pay tribute to the thousands that died over a real monster storm too (Katrina).

Let's not argue over which storm was worse. let's be thankful that it was nothing like Katrina and hope a storm like Katrina never hits the US again.

I hope everyone in the C5 community is safe and had minimum damage to their homes and cars.

Overflow were you there in Florida for Andrew? I was visiting my Uncle at the time and ended up running for my life.

Got some friends in Queens and the Dumbo area of Brooklyn I'm worried about. Besides the fires, flooding there was over the roofs of cars.

Waiting to hear from them.

Glad my C5 people that took nearly a direct hit are all okay!

It is amazing that They already knew in 1997 that hurricane Sandy was going to follow a path along the eastern coastline and then hit Long Island, so they went ahead and simulated it.

Now that is planning ahead ! Very impressed. They even knew to call the storm hurricane Sandy too back in 1997.

I had no idea we had the ability to track storms 15 years in advance.

Sunny out and 65 degrees, but Sandy left lots of major damage and destruction here in RI, got very lucky on my street this storm, all the trees fell in the woods and luckily the ones that fell in the street did not take the wires down like last year with Irene and there is 122,000 here without power today, I'll post some pics after of the places here that got hit real hard.

They planned ahead and did what? Just tell everyone to leave instead of upgrading systems that needed updated. Had the spent the last 15 years doing upgrades and spread that cost over those years they wouldn't be nearly in the same position as they are now.

It's crap like this that is ignorant. If you know what's gonna happen then fix it before it comes.

Sorry for the rant but jeesh
