Well diet is going good, getting really hungry at night but I'm suffering through it....My carbs are about to get slimmer during the month of july and not looking forward to it, But I won't die and it will get me in the lean shape I'll need to be in for my competition...... On and BTW.......37 more days! its going so fast I can't believe it! Here's a pic I took at the gym, I feel my muscles are starting to peek through as I continue my diet!

37 DAYS!! WOOHOO!! My friend at work is a complete bozo and decided to cut all carbs and do this drop in your water thing. And I told her she would be miserable and she didn't believe me, two days in she fell asleep on her desk hahahaha! You can definately see a change in your muscles good job! I finally tried that Wendy's Chili and I am addicted! Its goood! I'll eat enough for the two of us!

People just don't realize how you need those carbs for fuel and carbs feed your muscles thats why the low low carb diet is good for a few weeks but any longer than that your compromising too much muscle, then you carb up a day or two before competition to fuel your muscles....

I'm glad you tried the Wendys chilli....YUMMY!

Yep, the carb thing is a tight rope walk. You gotta find the level of carbs that force your body to burn fat like a furnace. Too many carbs and it won't work, and too few and you get all stringy looking with deflated muscles.

It took some experimentation for me to find the right level for MY body....it's not a one size fits all deal. However, get it right and the results are outstanding and you'll feel "ok" for the most part.

I got a pretty good compliment at the gym yesterday (I THINK). A guy pulled me to the side and asked if I was taking steroids Must mean I'm doing something right if I look like I do when I'm not.

Today's a low carb day for me....

7:30am - 40 mins elliptical

8:45am - 2 egg beaters, 1/4 cup low fat cheddar, 2 turkey bacon

12pm - 5oz canned tuna, 2 cups green beans, spinach salad

3pm - 1/2 cup cottage cheese, 1/4 cup fresh blue berries, 1 scoop ON Whey

6pm - 1 scoop ON Whey, 2tbsp natural peanut butter

7:30pm - 7oz chicken breast, spinach salad

10pm - 1 scoop on whey (or two egg beaters not sure) and maybe 1oz of almonds or 1tbsp natural peanut butter

I have not been feeling it today. I dont know if I'm tired or if its because I have a little bit of a headache but I just feel blah, like no energy. I have been eating good still and working out so idk. Maybe I'm just blah. lol. Last night was the start of week 5 for me, so chest, biceps and triceps (i think was the name) and ab ripper x. Man that one was hard, lots of push ups. Those fried my arms but I survived. My bicpes and shoulders are tired today. I think i'm gonna take a nap on lunch and hopefully I'll have more energy this afternoon for my workout.

Thanks Bonnie. I've got a calve exercise for you to try:

Seated calve raise 12 reps but perform every rep by raising up for 2 seconds then lowering for 20 seconds. Heels should almost hit the floor on the down stroke. Use a watch to make sure you get the full 20 seconds.

You won't get all 12 reps in one set....I was lucky to get 5 reps when I first started it. I eventually got to 8 reps on the first go, but just take a 30 second break then continue until you get all 12 reps. Try to do it in three sets max. Your calves will be screaming for mercy.

No such thing as a platue in my book. Its calories in - calories out = weight loss. And making sure you are changing up your workout. If you aren't writing down your calories that is something i would definately try.

14% is pretty good tho! Congrats!
