The one thing that I noticed the most was how much the front end raises up during hard acceleration. Is their suspension that much softer than ours?. Other than that, enjoyed experiencing the competition first hand

I'd bet the suspension is a bit softer and with the solid rear it will tend to bite a bit harder ....

I am still amazed at what FORD does with the Solid Rear in regards to performance .. hats off to the FORD engineers and what they have done with the new mustang !!!

I still believe that Ford will supercharge their new 5.0 engine from the factory as the Mach1 but will wait to see what engine/HP the Z/28 has in order to trump it. This is why the disciples / Scott and GM are keeping the Z/28 information close to the vest and as secret as possible. Somewhere along the line though, the car companies are going to say that is enough horsepower from the factory or it will go back to the 70's when the insurance companies stepped in and raised the rates on HiPo cars.

2 options for the Shelby...... 650hp with warranty, and 750HP without, but similar prices.....

We went a bit beyond OE in our comparisons.

BOTH the Camaro and Mustang did exceptionally well.

Where is all the info regarding warranty? Did Ford publish the info? Or is it just speculation?

Ford already has the supercharger for the 5.0.

Ford publishes it. Its been going on for a while. Some levels are covered but, the higher levels are not. I would assume Chevrolet would do the same.

It would be nice if they would and I would like to see this happen ..

550+ HP LSA Z/28 with some option to say put down 650HP w/ warrenty .. they would have a lot of people doing that I think. I believe the LSA could handle that power without blinking .. they would just need to make sure the rest of the drivetrain was up to par for it as well (which I'm guessing it will be).

I wish but the Z28 will not get the LS9. It would cost too much so they will stick with the LSA

unfortunately ford has only one car to dump everything into and no higher model which the gt use to take place. GM has to spread their efforts between the Vette and Camaro and try to keep the vette always fastest. a 624hp Camaro would have to mean a 724hp corvette...thats not going to happen. perhaps a kit for the z28 to make it a killer

Its already started. California Casualty wont write a policy for a "performance" car (Corvette, Viper, etc). They rate it on a HP scale.

I think (think) the L99 Camaro, Mustang 5.0 and Challenger R/T are covered (I know the R/T is because that is my company). The LS3 SS and SRT Challenger/Charger etc are not.

Alot of companies dont make it obvious, they will just say "cant do it".

well i guess thats kinda of good. you start getting to many muscle cars (factory rated) at 600-700 horse on the road we might start seeing alot more nuts driving and alot more wrecks.just hope the insurance companys dont kill it of to fast like it did in the late 60s to early70s.
