not off the top of my head, id have to dig for my timeslips. she usually runs 13s on street tires, but I borrowed a set of MT slicks to get my 12s. the main thing is the tranny, 1st is granny low, 2nd i could use like an auto down low and up high, and third its all top end. 1/8th mi tracks, I barely even touch 3rd gear cus I shift at 6800. ive put down a few diff f-bods and stangs, not to mention ricers on the street who dont appreciate my "rust weight reduction". I got pulled over one time (didnt know my speedo was off after swapping rear wheels) the cop asked me if I knew how fast I was goin. (my speedo said 90) so I said, "about 90". he scoffs and says,"yeah, when I first clocked you, you didnt start to slow down till about 123mph." I told him I didnt believe him. and showed him my engine...we were both in disbelief. he let me go with a 90 in a 65 ticket.

I understand, but its just not so black and white for me as it is for you guys i guess.

I think a power adder is ANYTHING that creates a power greater than the stock engine will make on pump gas.

Also just an FYI, i have a MAF sensor and an Intake on my LS1 SS, and it gave me about 23 rwhp....id say thats pretty significant.

Fair enough...I consider it grey area, though. Not black and white...because my mentality on the 50% gain thing, is that the air intakes, and injectors (which are probably required) don't contribute to the increase, as much as they support the Supercharger's boost to power..

Supercharging can be cloudy territory, I have NO experience with Turbos, I only know how they work

Any power you gained from items like injectors or mass air meters wouldn't be close to gains made by adding headers, cams, etc. Those particular items were what I read in the original list, and I wasn't going to read into or extrapolate anything about your post. I just took the statement at face value.

What I am really saying is that it is rare to find any kind of supercharger package without items like mass air meters, upgraded fuel injectors, sometimes upgraded fuel pumps, and intercoolers....to me those are the necessary things that go into a supercharger for it to work properly. So I automatically lump them all into a singular "supercharger".

But now we are just getting into semantics.

thats the key to having a package. tho you can add a S/C by itself and tune it urself depending on your existing mods, but u are dead on with adding a cam, headers, (dont forget modding ur heads or swapping for an upgrade).

semantics...yay

Ok, guys...it sounds like this got out of control and is getting back in line. All I have to say is read the forum rules. No name calling...no slamming...no flaming. Disagree, but don't attack. Better yet......

Seeing as though we have 1,160 members and it's only been viewed 433 times............READ IT.

Hey all, and welcome to the Camaro5.com chat forums, here are some basic rules we should all try to live by

1) Respect. By far the most important rule here. Through the generations of Camaros, enthusiasts have come together for the love of the car and the community. So the basic rules of real life apply here, show each other respect and you will get respect as well. Don't bash someone else here because you feel like it. Personally insulting other members will not be tolerated.

2) Disagree, don't attack. Disagree on topics, but try to leave it at that. Just because you don't like someones opinion on the car's engine, doesn't mean you should call him and his mother all sorts of names Disagreements are awesome, and you should call someone on something you don't agree with, but don't go out of your way to insult and flame someone. Please consider if you would say to someone's face the same thing you are posting.

4) Help. Be helpful, we are all probably here because of a question and people will go out of their way to help you. Try to do the same if you have the answer to a question posted. Camaro enthusiasts have to stick together. If you think not telling others about some technical info you have will make you and your car unique and prefer to be unique rather than share this information, then this forum is not for you. Help each other with questions and answers and I guarantee you, one day you will be helped out in kind here.

5) Offtopic in Offtopic forum. Well this should be self explanatory

6) Make suggestions in the suggestions forum. We promise to do our best to accomodate your suggestions. We're always open to making changes around here based on people's feedback and we love doing it; it's part of the fun for us !

These rules will be enforced but only to improve everyones stay here In the end, we're all enthusiasts here, so help each other out !
Nothing in these rules say you may not post up speculation....seeing as that's pretty much the majority of all we have to discuss. We all GUESS as what's to come....I mean, GM hasn't given anything else to us lately, have they??? There is NO problem w/ saying..."WHAT IF" and discussing that further.

BE COOL, GUYS.

I tried to keep that in mind the whole Time, but If it's worth anything - I apologise, Stig, for...well, for my part in the explosion. (though it was a pretty neat explosion, wouldn't you say? )
