It is depressing to watch companies like Honda and Toyota offer these deals knowing that GM doesn't really have the kind of money to offer such discounts:(. I hope they can make some big changes to their company so that they can start dominating again soon.

Please take some time and fill this out and help gm get this government loan to save them i'm sick and tired of hearing about how gm sucks and imports are better! GM has helped this country out more then you think. How could you think "man can you imagone how much a camaro would be worth if GM got flushed" why would you think like that it's not just about a car or their name it's what they do. It's what they do for America you won't have to worry about the new camaro if GM goes under cause you'll be living in a cardboard box in an alleyway of empty buildings. You wanna know a big thing that will dig America out of this shit hole were in it's Pride. How could you be proud that you're buying a product that is made in Japan and is giving them money and jobs.

I remember reading another thread on her and the person quoted something Jay Leno said when they were look at one of his vette's it was (and sorry if it's not exact but) "They japs don't watch my show. I support the people that support me." that tells me he has pride in America and what i mean when i say America is not a name of a country (well it is but) it's the people the hard working men and women that keep this place running.

Today in my auto tech class a snap on representitive came in and showed us a video of hard working men and women manufacturing snap on tools and using them to build the jets that protect us and fix the vehicles that keep us on the road. That filled me with a sense of PRIDE knowing that everyday America gets up and goes to work to keep America alive to make it so they can have the chance to get loans to buy what they want. America is fortunate to have the chance to even go to work at a good job and get the stuff they want you could be like people in a underdeveloped nation fighting to survive everday and earning 120 bucks a year. I mean idk i'm probably just ranting away at the people that say "**** gm why should we keep them around with their sub par vehicles compaired to something made in japan." Thats when i think well what you're telling me is you're sub par compaired to a person in japan then? Because last time i checked you're part of the workforce the lifeblood that drives America. But that's ok you go out and drive you're massive turbo skyline that has 90's-present technology i think i stick with my American 71 chevelle with a CARBURATED pushrod V-8 because i know out there somewhere there's a hard working American that put their heart into building this so i can do what i love... to go fast

well if you want flame me go ahead you won't get far in "rattling my cage" because i have something you'll never have and that's PRIDE

No. Not unless the warranty was backed by an independent company and major cash was on the hood, like $8k.

If GM crashes the new Camaro could be the best investment you ever made. It could end up being worth more than your house to the Japanese/Arabic/Russion collectors who will be fat with cash by then while we're planting rows of corn and potatoes in our back yards to feed our families.
Oil will always be profitable....only the margin of profit will change for a few years. We won't have anything to export for profit except what we can grow (if we're not plauged by drought).

Did you read yesterday's Wall Street Journal article about the Volt? It is NOT going to do anything but cost GM money. It stated the only reason GM is even building it is to show they are moving towords alternative fueled vehicles. Supposedly someone from GM even said as much that they dont ever expect to make money on it. No one is going to buy it at $40 grand when about all it can do is go to the super market and back. Don't shoot me, I am just paraphrasing what "the article" said. Just doesn't sound like that one car is going to "save" GM.

I will say, however, that GM has to save GM. Ever heard of Job Banks? GM is going to have to get rid of the ridiculous way's they pay their workers. Don't blame the economy for any of the big 3's trouble's. That is like blaming the economy for all of Wall Street's problems. Everyone wants to blame someone else. No one has the guts to admit they were wrong and made some really bad decisions. It's starting to be the American way, and that is the really sad part of it all.

The Volt will do nothing for GM except change people's perspectives of them. It's basically a "Hey, look at us and what we can do" car. The 2011 Chevy Cruze is the car that will save GM.
