From what I hear about launching Challengers, how come more owners dont invest in some DRs?

Thanks for the compliments guys!
Your time would definately be very close to the top of a Challenger 1/4 mile list (intake only). If your car was bone stock and it ran 13.1, that would be like a Camaro SS running 12.5s. It can be done, but its really fast compared to most the other guys.

I know a couple guys with R/T's and they can't even dream of running low 13s (stock). It just doesn't happen. On great track days (less than 500 ft DA)they're pulling 13.7s - 13.8s with nice clean lauches off the line.

So congrates on the great time, but R/T's are still mid to high 13 sec cars.

Just like the Camaro SS isn't a mid 12 sec car. Guys can do it, but its just not going to happen very often.

all 3 cars need DR to launch really well all the time....but the challenger is no different from the other 3 in you just have to learn how to launch your car properly.

Not really sure where he's totally wrong. The R/T is a mid 13 second car with an average driver, just like the SS will be a low 13 second car with an average driver. Both cars are capable of better times than that but with an average driver those are probably the times you'll see.

However, the Challenger has the added advantage of having an automatic version equal to the manual in power. Over on the Challenger forums you'll see how they talk about the manual not posting as good times as the automatic, obviously due to the fact it's much easier to run a good time in the automatic. Unforunately, the SS manual is the benchmark for the Camaro and is faster so better times are a bit harder to extract.

ny disagreement wasnt on the mid 13s part....it's the mid to high 13s car....i think it is a mid 13s with an average driver and low 13s with a good driver....

just like the camaro there are stock rts breaking into the high 12s with a GREAT driver.

Uh, I'm not sure. Last time I checked I never saw any R/T's into the 12's stock, but I haven't looked in a bit. Any links?

Well....in consideration if I posted my 1/4 mile times on a Mustang site I wouldn't have made it this far.

Again I hand it to you for the great times. Very respectable.
