Not really sure where he's totally wrong. The R/T is a mid 13 second car with an average driver, just like the SS will be a low 13 second car with an average driver. Both cars are capable of better times than that but with an average driver those are probably the times you'll see.
However, the Challenger has the added advantage of having an automatic version equal to the manual in power. Over on the Challenger forums you'll see how they talk about the manual not posting as good times as the automatic, obviously due to the fact it's much easier to run a good time in the automatic. Unforunately, the SS manual is the benchmark for the Camaro and is faster so better times are a bit harder to extract. |

Uh, I'm not sure. Last time I checked I never saw any R/T's into the 12's stock, but I haven't looked in a bit. Any links?
