Also chomping at the bit to see what I can get out of my '13 GT500. It's been fun since I got it Wednesday, but there's only so much you can do with it on public roadways (not that I haven't tried).

According to IHRA rules. I believe NHRA is 11.99 unless the rules changed since two years ago.

That's why I ask on another thread how everyone is getting away with this.

At my track you will get the boot if you run under those times without a roll bar or cage depending on your time.
I believe NHRA is 11.49 or better for a roll bar.

Correct...up to 135 MPH traps.

Nice ride ....can't wait to see them start popping up around Phoenix.
This should make for some exiting drag racing here in the fall

Almost all your posts are about Mustangs. That's why you're on many popular car sites, and so few Camaro guys are on the Mustang sites.

Track rentals FTW, or friends that run/manage the strip when you go out and will bend the rules a bit for you.

Our local track ownership/management helped me with my goal of running 10's in a stock car...they were just as exited to see if I could do it as I was.

I would love to see what their insurance company would say if a wreck happen with injuries that didn't meet the rules.

LOL. Yes!

I love the color combo, too. Better than I expected. Actually, if you go to the Ford website, they have the stripe color wrong. They show Grabber Blue on the "configurator". The stripes are actually Sonic Blue. Oops! I think I like the Sonic Blue better, though.

Give him a break. He needs to do a proper break-in before he beats on the car

True. I couldn't help myself when I picked it up, though. Yesterday and today have been MUCH tamer. I'm going to take it easy a while longer.

I guess we will just have to wait and see how many '13 GT500's go high 10's stock (on drag radials) in the next 60-90 days. I suspect we are going to see low -mid 11's at 125 MPH for the new car, which is significantly faster than the ZL1.... and appraoching/entering C6 Z06 territory.

I can't wait to throw down with one at the track.
+1!
