No way does such a miniscule difference account for the sales...

1) People were holding off for the 2011 Mustang so there was an excess of demand this past cycle when the 2011 came out.

2) Because of (1) a glut of 2010 Mustangs existed in the sales channels, which tanked in value and had a sudden sales boost thanks to blowout price incentives.

3) Camaros have maintained a steady sales rate but dropped slightly as the end of the 2010 model approached. A corresponding spike in 2011 Camaros is expected.

what?! i dont know where you live but I did (long time ago)hit low 13s on almost every pass its right there from FAST MUSTANGs just because you dont see doesnt make it fake
your camaros weights 3900lbs with 426 thats 9.15 lbs hp/lb ratio
2002 camaro weights 3400 with 350 thats 9.71 lbs hp/lb ratio why wouldnt they be close

Never said it was fake bro. Just saying. Magazines and real world are completely different stories. Mags rated the camaro as a 13.0 car, yet I have never run that... Lots of SS's run mid 13s to low 14s... I've been guilty of running some 14 runs because of horrible launches and bad track prep.

I know what the cars are capable of, but then again, let's talk real world. We know the 5th gen is capable of at least a 12.58 stock, while the 5.0 is capable of a 12.7, but let's be honest, we won't be seeing many 5th gens running 12.5s and I will only believe the 5.0 to be a high 12 car when I actually see them running.

both the camaro and gt have gone 12.58

the gt trapped higher though.

give the mustang 8 months of being out and ull see 12.4s

It is all good. I for one am glad that Ford is putting out a Mustang with a great motor in it! The Camaro has a great set up, it is just heavy. GM should address that, but I know this is what we have to work with, and that is cool.

I had a 1985 IROC Camaro and a 1989 Mustang GT back in the day . . interesting how history repeats itself.

I will never knock another American muscle car for making their car better . . I love them all!!!!
