I like all 3, the Camaro, Challenger, and the new Mustang, I just like the feel and the boldness of the Camaro better and if the Synergy Green had not been parked on the front lot of the dealership I probably never stopped to take a look at them, everyday on my way home from work it grabbed my eye and I just had to see what they we're all about. When I sat in it I knew it had my name on it. I did the same thing I went and looked at all three before I signed the papers and payed for it, then I kept going back and forth about the color, RJT, IOM, Black, and of course SGM.
I called the dealership and talked to the salesman and told him I think I want a black one but he knew my heart was set on the SGM, he said he had one with all the options I wanted but I should stop by and look at the SGM 2SS/RS he just got sitting on the showroom floor, as soon as I stepped in the showroom and saw this car sitting there without the crappy vinyl rally stripes I knew at that moment I was taking her home with me. ( I hate the rally stripes on the SGM + I don't like vinyl stripes anyway ) less is more IMO. I was afraid that I might get tired of the SGM well I have had it about 16 months now and I still get a Perma Grin just stepping into the garage and seeing it. I love this car and it fits me well and lets just say the woman love it and that's a big plus IMO even though I'm happily married. Back to all three cars lets just say that if I could have one of each I would have them. I'm still on the fence about trading up for the ZL1 but I find myself very happy with the 2SS/RS and it still looks like its brand new, not one mark on it, if anything I have it looking better then it did sitting on the showroom floor. For the record I was in the market for a new truck (Chevy or Ford) then the Camaro kept calling my name everyday on my way home from work and I freaking couldn't be happier having it.. Also I saw the first Transformor movie when it came out and I thought the car was cool but it didn't put me in the zone to look for it or if it would become available it was a thought and gone, I also never saw any commercials about the Camaro all it took was the dealership to put a SGM Camaro in its front lot.. Just my little story on how I came to have the Camaro and found this awesome site.. Larry. |

A lot of people don't like the mustang ad. I don't know why, but I like it. Perhaps because I kind of relate to the little girl at the end. That was me when I was her age... staring at sporty cars.
The Camaro commercial is hysterical. I laughed when I saw it for the first time and it still gives me a good chuckle.

I remember when that Mustang commercial was posted on here (originally). I though it was ok. The grey V6 Stang commercial that came out last year was waaaaaay better though. Actually made me want a V6 Mustang! All the Camaro commercials have been great so far, the old/young couple one was my favorite.

Two different. Ommercials setting two different moods.
I liked the F##d spot, even downloaded the music. Camaro commercial was hilarious and made me laugh the first time I saw it and the last time too. The Chevy add isn't cool, its simply fun. So do you want fun or a Swan rip off with cool music?

Still waiting for a Camaro ad that really turns you on. In the 80s we had the Heartbeat of America, and the Camaro Z28 and IROC were PROMINENT in those ads. Made you want them soooooo bad.
In the 90s it was the kids in the bedroom at night and they had to guess the cars going down the street without looking and the one kid hears the Z28 and yells "A 275 horsepower, 5.7 liter, multi-port fuel injected, 6 speed manual Z28!" Come on Chevy. Show us a commercial that gets your juices flowing for a Camaro SS, some serious moves on a track or someone rowing the gears and the tach going up and down. To the sound of some Mountain in the background, like Mississippi Queen... so far we've got the hot teacher and kids excited for a car they're not getting. Really lame Camaro promotions. |

Honestly, a commercial of nothing but the Camaro shredding some asphalt and the sound of that engine roaring would be great. No voice over, no interrupting the awesome sound of the Camaro doing it's thing. And then at the end, the Camaro power slides to a stop with it's halos showing, fade to black, pop up CAMARO on the screen, that's it.
