Test drove one with the sister-in-law recently. Interior was very nice 2 tone black and white. The 4 banger is obviously a bit underpowered but got around well. Major improvement over what it replaced and looks great. The GMC version looks even better and will probably be tough to get your hands on.

Towing capacity. Especially people moving down to Equinox from Trailblazers.

Now that you mention it, why would anyone buy the SS when the LT gets around just fine?

thats totally different, lol.

when you buy a CUV your not thinking about reving your engine and putting pedal to the metal.

your thinking about a good road trip/family/wife mobile and thats all.

towing capacity is a good point. but beyond that why do you need anything beyond 175-200HP ?

simply said.........you dont

Ahh...be careful of double-standards -- they tend to bite us in the a$$.......perhaps a CUV driver (where'd that name come from...) would like a little more pep?
It's another choice...and so long as it isn't outrageous...why not offer it?

I used to drive a Saturn with a similar power/torque to weight ratio. You have to stomp on it to accelerate up to highway speeds, and thats when its not loaded down with passengers/cargo. If you wanted to pass someone you need extra space because it can't really accelerate when going at 50 mph. It has to work harder to go up a hill. Not everyone likes those qualities in a vehicle. They'd prefer to have more reserve power for those every day situations.
