No doubt about that. I think they designed the car with that in mind.

I have no issue with people buying other cars. The camaro is not everyone's ultimate car. I just don't understand the need to announce leaving. First of all, there's no need to leave- camaro ownership is not a prerequisite of membership here. If you made friends, stay and talk. Secondly, if you feel the need to leave, why announce it? Are you looking for someone to convince you to stay? Are you just looking to ruffle feathers? It's pointless and behaviorally similar to a troll. Go then, there are other cars than these.

I came back to a 5thgencamaro last year. I had an 1986 Camaro for three years and almost lost my license from speeding tickets, so got rid of it. It feels good to come back to my roots with a 2SS RS. I drove BMW for 15 years. The only 3 series with a V8 is M3. I drove
3,5's, a 7 and a couple of 6's. 650 had a 4.8 V8 around 400 hp. Ride great but maintenance cost are unbelievable. Reason I came back to a Camaro.
Totally happy.

Initial impressions of the M3 are........OMGGGG THIS THING IS AMAZINGGGGG.

There is one flaw. It has ruined the impression I had in my head on how good my Camaro was, how good my first car is. This is not me leaving the Camaro camp and bashing it as soon as I leave. It is genuine sadness.
Sledge > '13 1LE > '12 M3 > '13 SS

Well Congrats!

Especially after getting that 1st Check Engine Light on BMW 4.4 or 4.8 V8 which are notorious for getting carbon build up in the cylinders. Then the dealer tells you it's almost 7k to fix, and the best part it's not warrantied.
But it rides great.

People need to announce their arrival and departure. There are many posts about members leaving. I don't think for a minute the purpose is to ruffle feathers. Why does that bother you ? I get if they are insulting on the way out but I'm not getting that vibe.

I like BMW's as well...wife still has one: 2011 X3

I bought a 1995 E36 M3 brand new...Cosmos Black, champagne, M-contour...great car.

I needed something to drive while I finished a 70 BB Chevelle.

Then, the LSX cars started coming out...

However, I can't say a well maintained 2008 to 2010, 550I with a manual would not be super nice for a week-end car.

But, the V8 valve guide seals, coolant cross-over tubes, electric water pumps, rod bearing issues, assorted pcm / bcm gremlins, wiring harnesses, radiators...

I went back / stayed GM as well...2010 2SS w/ M6

I looked at:

335's
550's
E90 M3
E92 M3
C6 Vette
5th Gen Camaro

I don't think you could go wrong with any of the above so: Congrats!!!

Congrats on the Bimmer...

Im not hating or bashing, but, as a previous BMW owner, it was a love/hate relationship. I loved the car (01 740i SWB Sport with some Dinan mods, it was a rocketship), but I hated the feeling I had every time I drove it when (invariably!!!!) something went wrong with it. I poured more omoney into that car, and lost more money on that car when I sold it than any bad investment I ever made in my life. No more BMWs for me.

Interesting how so many of you had bad experiences with BMWs.

I sold mine for $3k more than I paid for it, a year later. I think you all just picked the wrong model.

A year of Bimmer ownership was only four play, 3 years minimum for a relationship before your experienced.

Frigging spoiled rich folk!
My first 2 cars were a hand me down '68 Firebird beater and a '74 Roadrunner. Both maintained and modified via the local junk yards and my own hands.
