Riviera would be a better name, but I agree it would look great in black.

“The Avista might go into production,” Welburn said. “The interest level is very high. What would make it difficult is that we have so many other vehicles we’re working on. This is the busiest GM design has ever been.”
Everything GM posts about Avista on social media, myself and others have basically been spamming them with "Build it" comments.

Keep it up. I think with a ton of buzz, they will build it. The R&D costs cant be that high right?

Yes, keep it up. With the exception of the interior, they did a fantastic job on the design. Unlike some of the other concepts we've seen, that looks like it would only take a few changes to make it ready for manufacturing (but what do I know?). I'd like to see the roof bracing...still worried any production car would need a B-pillar.

Production car would require a B-pillar for sure. The pretty concept glass roof would be replaced by a conventional one with a sunroof. Plus an interior.

Otherwise, besides production lights and wheels, not much else. Actually one of the first things people noticed about the car was all the production-ready features, like the body panel cut lines, license plate cut out, existing powertrain, etc.

Hopefully this doesn't jinx anything, but usually GM execs are quick to insinuate a lack of production. For example Avenir was quickly shot down, and as it turns out, it was just a preview of LaCrosse's design language and an introduction to the Omega architecture that now underpins CT6. Avista hasn't gotten that response...yet.

If the public likes it and there is a good profit margin built into it GM might just give it the green light. It's by far the best looking coupe in concept form or any form for that matter. As much as I love my new 2SS I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

I could see a TT V6 Avista in my garage next to the Camaro, but I've said the same regarding the ATS-V.

Also, glass roof has been done before...bean counter wise I don't see it happening though.

400 hp twin turbo 3.0L V6 from the upcoming Cadillac CT6
no weight info, which is common for a concept car
wheelbase is the same as the 6th gen Camaro, likely similar in other external dimensions
