I always said I could never do a long term relationship, and that it was naive and crazy to have one, but look at me now.

I blame Victoria for it. She lured me in.

In all reality though, she makes me happy, and somehow she can put up with my smartass, probably because she is one as well. We are very much alike yet still different.
It's one of those things where I find myself thinking about her often through the day, with no reason. We just mesh together very well.
Definitely worth any and all effort it may take.

I'm blaming Victoria too. She is sneaky like that. You two do make a good couple, as it was seen at Camarofest. When you hit it off like that, and very interested in each other, you should follow up with those feelings. Not doing so is cheating yourself out of fun, excitement and everything life is about. I am glad you two are trying to work things out. It's tough, and only gets tougher the closer you feel towards each other.

I have not sugar coated the long distance thing, offered my insight, and my outcome was worth all the hard work, all the communication, all the traveling back and forth. But if I did not at least try it, I would have truly missed out on a truly amazing woman.

Victoria is not your 'every day' friendly girl. There is truly something special and unique with her. She is smart, she is a smart-ass, and funny, friendly, good looking, sweet, down to earth, very outgoing and loves racing. You don't find many girls like that in life period. So when you come across one, you take notice. Glad you did just that Tricksta and making that effort to pursue.

I still don't see how it was obvious at fest, but I guess you have to be on the outside looking in type of thing. But we were both looking forward to meeting each other at fest since we had been talking everyday since February!

I've already told her that she is the perfect catch for me, and I truly mean that, and all the reasons you listed Hank are exactly why.

Never in a million years did I think someone like her was even out there! I had just thought I was creating unrealistic requirements I guess. But it seems not! Really do appreciate all the helpful tips and input, and the reassurance that if we both want it to work, we will find a way. Rebelyell, like Hank said, you have to try, otherwise you've already lost. Hope everything works out in your favor!

And to Hank and Missy, and Jewel and PMC, you guys give me great hope for just how truly great of a relationship Victoria and I can have.

So real in here. It's about to get more real. And for the record, I'll take the blame of luring Joey in; if I want something, I tend to get it. No long distance relationship is ever easy. Up until the end of July, Joey and I were talking with all the feels, being lovey dove, and what not. But then I found someone who wasn't 900 miles away, that was me being selfish. Which Joey understood. He didn't like it, but he understood. And then Fest happened and we couldn't deny the feelings that were there. Joey and I still continued to talk. And last month, that guy and I broke up, majority of the reason was Joey. I had realized that there is no other guy out there that I'd rather be with. We mesh so well together. And what Joey had already said, he was the "perfect" (perfect for me) guy that I didn't exist. We have so much in common, but at the same time, different as well. I have never loved someone as much as I love Joey. Even though, he can be an ass, I'm quickly there to put him in his place and I know he'll do the same for me. The support from you guys is incredible and we appreciate it so much. The trick to making a long relationship last, is have both people working for it. Someone wise has told me a number of times that, when a relationship stops working, it's because one person stopped putting effort in. And that is true, as long as both people want it, it'll happen.

It's not rocket science, it's harder, it's long distance relationship and nothing is tougher than to be away from the one you love the most. Whether it's 10 miles or 1000 miles, it's tough. Make time for each other, and understand there will be some moments but work through and keep on lovin.

I'll throw my little bit in, I could see it a bit at the fest. It's a lot of work in relationships, even more so in long distance. I can tell yall both want it, and honestly that's all that matters. This year was the worst one I've had, but the fest seeing everyone happy, made me happy. It was a blast. I could see the flirtation between yall, and I'm glad I was along for the ride. But as for me I'm still in the camp that what I'm looking for doesn't exist.
