BMW 320d

From autoblog.com: BMW is planning on releasing (in Europe) a 320d model that is powered by a 2.0 liter turbo four cylinder diesel that makes 163hp and gets the US equivalent of 57.4 mpg. Seems a little underpowered but the mpg's are noteworthy.

The 320d produces 163hp, not a 150hp.

In the next couple of years you won't have to...the engines will be that efficient...best of both worlds...power and great mpg's.

Well in europe they get taxed on how big there engines are in there vehicles. You will see alot of compact cars in europe with either small displacement turbo diesels or small petrol engines. Very common

I have a feeling that will become common in America as well.

Unless the Volt can preempt them, of course.

Man, I hope not.

But I always like the looks of BMW, but I have to agree about the underpowered issue.
