If you can find it pls post the link - would be fun to watch.

But keep in mind - modded car against factory stock car.
Put the same mods in both cars and watch.

Not sure how much HP the camaro is putting down, but it says the mustang was 550 HP, kinda odd that it would walk the hellcat like that no?

My phone will only play the start of that race, but I don't think that's a real
Hellcat. I've never heard a Hallcat go WOT without hearing a very loud whine from its supercharger.

Anyone can upbadge a car. It doesn't really matter because frankly you can modify a Civic to be faster than a Hellcat, ZL1, or whatever. Just in this case I don't think it's a real Hellcat. I could be wrong.

I just was able to watch the whole thing, finally. So much background noise it's possible its drowning out the sound of the supercharger. I couldn't tell for sure, but it looked like the hood had the distinct outlet slots of the Hellcat.

I change my mind, I think it's (probably) real. I'm not a fan of nitrous but if real that's a pretty quick Camaro.

I normally don't compare stock vs modded but a stock as or zl1 would never stand a chance. I'm guessing the camaro was 600+go so I think it's a good comparison.

That and aero. Corvette has a much smaller profile to the wind and one of the lowest CD in a production car that helps when you start pushing over 60 mph on your way to 100.

New OEM tires are not. But putting more expensive or purposeful tires on is a mod. Take a Camaro 1LE and put the Z/28 Trofeo' tires on it. Performs better? Then it's a modification to the original OEM spec.

Tire pressure would likely be a track specific alteration, but in the strictest sense.............a modification.

I always enjoy the "if I put $10,000 into my XYZ mobile I could take a ABC mobile for half the price" discussions. As long as you give the other driver the same $10,000 to put into the other car, maybe a fair discussion.

But OEM to OEM is the comparison of two or more companies engineering and customer knowledge. The OEM has to meet all Federal Standards for emissions, and must comply with CAFE standards and meet the OEMs internal durability requirements. What you do in the aftermarket does not. So for me, an engineer in the industry for my entire career, it doesn't matter what you can do in the aftermarket. But that's JMO. I understand why it matters to others.
