Speculation is it may be debuted at the Detroit auto show, but it looks dimmer at this point. Nobody (GM) is confirming it one way or another and you would think there'd be more fanfare about it by now. More than likely if it does, it'll be in April at the NY auto show would be a better shot than the Chicago show in Feb.

I don't know how Fiat compares to GM with V8 reliability specifically but with cars as a whole, there is no comparison. Fiat's most reliable brand ranks lower than GM's least reliable brand.

Show that chart to the people in this forum complaining about having their Camaro for a week and it's been to the dealer for repairs. Fortunately, I have not had any major issues with my new Camaro (just the leather dash trim peeling after 6 months-5,800 miles). I have owned (4) late model Dodge's and (2) of them 6.1 SRT's which have been beat and a lot track time. No issues, only preventative maintenance. I also have friends with late model Hemi's (no issues)
Look, all manufacturers have issues, but the chance of a single person having issues based on some chart is like your chances of winning the lottery.

ANd from what I saw their track record is........ http://www.truedelta.com/car-reliability not that they have the challenger on there..... as I guess not enough people joined like Zero , and yet enough I have read says dodge leads the pack in repair trips........ big time over chevy and yes ford too. http://autos.jdpower.com/ratings/201...ss-Release.htm

SO good luck to you the new hemis are weirder than the old hemis...... can you say 16 spark plugs? weird the way they can make things change over time, and hope you do not have displacement on demand...... http://www.allpar.com/mopar/SRT-V8.html here read up some on hemi rods or hemiroids as we called them, there are many from the 5.7 in the r/t and stuff and they well..... all look like they are cast iron block and aluminum heads and heavy like the car. Not that I do not like the appearance of the challenger or the mustang, I just did a lot of homework to know I picked the right car for longevity, ease of build, and good looks, back seat not so much...but the same is said for the mustang, and well you don't want to get into building dual over head cammed expensive rubber band timed coyote dropping do yah? I didn't and being a old hot rodder think about it..... who made the most popular engines that were retrofitted to other brands........ who is still currently making the most popular engine being retrofitted into hotrods more than any other... the LS series is that just as the small and big bock chevys were and are...... Just putting in my ten cents, there is a reason Camaros have been so popular out selling the competition especially the challenger by so far.
My SRT8 is a 2009 with 38,000 miles on it.
The only thing that had broken on that car is the power steering pump.
I drive the car hard and have had it going 180mph+ a few times.
But I also take care of the car too.
Dodge makes far less Challengers than Chevrolet make Camaro's
I see a lot less Challengers on lots than I do Camaro's.
I like the OP am not brand loyal, but I think the Challenger is a superior car to the Camaro in what I think matters most. Comfort, trunk space, visibility and keeping true to the original.
I do like the 5th gens a lot but with hauling around guitars and amps I need the larger trunk.

Seriously? How many times have you taken valve covers off to retorque head bolts. Have you ever actually been inside an engine? Maybe you just didn't do it right the first time? Ever think of that? Lol.

In terms of $$ to HP and comfort the Scat Pack Challengers are the best buy on the market (in terms of new cars)

I will be happy to show you that chart each and every time you make foolish claims about Fiat reliability. Recalls PREVENT problems from occurring in the future. Perhaps if Fiat were more proactive about their problems they wouldn't be the lowest major automaker in reliability.

Thank you for sharing your anecdotal experience. The fact remains, Dodge across the board suffers 30% more problems requiring a dealer visit than Chevrolet. This trend is consistent year, after year, after year. YOU may have not had this experience but thousands upon thousands of others have.

Show me concrete numbers that show Dodge has more engine issues than Chevy that Chart means nothing in that regard, but that is all you have I guess.
