I'm in the same boat. I'm looking to trade my Gen5 in here in 2 years. I hope the new Camaro blows me away otherwise I'm going to consider a Challenger.

That was my other choice 2015 Challenger, I might have waited had I known the scat pack was going to be the 392 engine not just CAI and different tune like they were speculating. I dont think you can go wrong with either one. While very different they are both sweet cars.

Auto 8 with 485hp and more room = Fayetteville drag strip and easier to live with .
Or
6 speed manual, 426 hp and better handling = VIR.
My self I just really am liking the Chargers/Challengers as of lately.

But don't forget about the 20% off on Camaro's
good luck :-)

If you are picking on the interior alone, the Camaro loses every time. And if you need some space for folks in the back seat on a regular basis, the Fiat wins every time.

If you aren't really picking your car on 10/10ths performance, they are all pretty much equal for driving enjoyment. Push the right pedal down......smile. Push the left pedal......smile. Turn the wheel........smile. All the pony cars pretty much do that smile creation thing better than most other cars.

Just can't say it's an American car any more. Built in Canada, owned by the Italians.

I own both myself. A 2014 1SS/1LE & a 2014 R/T Classic Challenger. They are 2 completely different animals no doubt. I enjoy driving both cars but I think I like to drive the Challenger a little more , even though it in no way compares to the 1LE's handling. Both are fun though and you really can't go wrong with either..Good luck and post pics!!

To say the Dodge engines are prone to breaking any more then the Chevy is crap show me any numbers that show Dodge 5.7, 392 have a failure rate that is much different than that of the Chevy. I have many friends with the RT and SRT and no issues.

Didn't Fiat just recall 50,000 5.7L for timing chain defects?

I don't know how Fiat compares to GM with V8 reliability specifically but with cars as a whole, there is no comparison. Fiat's most reliable brand ranks lower than GM's least reliable brand.
