I'm wondering because of the key recall by GM, this was motivation to have this setup for their new gen Mustang. We should see this available for the 6th gen...hopefully.

CC brakes are only a $5,000 option on Corvettes, not 10k

I agree though seems like they put the push start to one up GM which I see it a good thing because I believed the Camaro should've had push start in the first year, so maybe they will put it in the 6th gen.

Yes so maybe it can hang with the Z/28 but more of a threat to a ZL1 and maybe or if a 6th gen ZL1

Hey guys, I've been a pretty inactive member who was at one time considering a 2011 Camaro. When ford came out with an almost 7000 rpm 5.0 (2011) mustang, I went that way. Honestly I tend to like mustangs more, but appreciate all American Muscle. I mean what kind of idiot doesn't recognize that gm is making some of the best chassis and handling components in the world!!!
That said, many of the comments I've seen on this board are absolutely fair and reasonable. Nice to see this on a camaro board. It's going to be great fun to see how the gt350 stacks up against the next gen camaro, which will no doubt raise the bar again. The companies play who has a bigger one and we the enthusiasts win BIG TIME. See you all on the road, hopefully in a year I'll be in the new gt350, though the new z06 seems A-FREAKIN'-MAZING! |

Did anyone notice how they're "phasing out" the Shelby association? The name is barely featured on the car except for the "invisible" text hidden on the front spoiler where no-one will look.

Yeah they stated the more the name is on the car the more licensing fee's they pay. Ford is wanting to get away from the name.

Best thing about the GT350 is the timing as it means GM will have to launch the C6 with a high-performance variant right outta the gate. I'm looking forward to some cross shopping next year as I consider my possible Boss replacement.

I wish "moderate" success for Ford with the GT350, and any other Mustang version. I am a GM die-hard, but without someone to punch GM in the face every now and again to keep the cool cars like Camaro getting better, we'd all be driving jellybeans.
I cannot make myself like the Mustang base or GT's looks, but the Shelby version is much more palatable for some reason.

Sad thing with this car is the things that really make it a track car are part of an additional package you pay more for. Why introduce a "track car" that isn't ready for the track stock?
I think it's being marketed to the average Joe who wants to have the latest and greatest Ford has to offer. I suspect this car will be purchased in large by people who will never put it on a track. |

Just like a 1LE, ZL1, or Boss?
I LOVE that I have options. If i had been in the market for a ZL1, I would've been forced to buy a car with extra coolers i don't need, and a fancy suspension setup that wasn't totally necessary for what id be using the car for.
