Is this camaro 5? i see a lot of talk about 1/4 times. I didn't think straight line performance was discussed on this site, because only the curves mattered? lol

IMO 2015 Mustang as far as performance go is a giant case of blue balls!

The new 5.0 should have came with 450hp if Ford wanted people to get excited but 435 is a bust considering the extra weight.

They may have improvements over time, everyone does. But this IS the best they have right now.

I expect the 350GT to bring another level to this discussion completely, but don't for a moment think Ford brought their B game to this fight with the launch of this product. For right now, this is the best they have.

Remember, the Camaro targeted the 2008 Mustang and whooped it. Mustang came our with a refreshed interior and then huge powertrain improvements and never overtook the Camaro in sales.

Ford has too much at stake to not go all in on the first try.

True! all of the press conferences ,showcases and around the world tour advertising is Ford going beyond themselves for this car! But Ford only is worried about the GT350 and the Ecoboost mustang!

Higher trap speed, but 1/10th on the quarter mile.... If you want to go on and on about how the Mustang GT is "slower" be my guest, but y'all are reaching here. This 15' was loaded to the ****ing gills and time will tell that this car is no slower over 1320'.

One of the other magazines got the 15 through the 1/4 faster than the last mustang they tested. Can't remember which one I think car and driver. Straight line seems to be a wash

Kinda like what GM does? Case in point, 2010-2012 Camaros sucked ass in straight line and handling...but now that GM has the Z28 and 1LE(I am not convinced the ZL1 is a better car than the GT500) you act like they have been on top since the start.

I will wait to see some more comparisons before I say if its a let down or not IMO. Just about every review has loved way the car drives, its straight line performance is on par with the outgoing model (which to some is a disappointment, to me not really, the car gained weight, got an IRS and is still right there with the outgoing. Some mags have it slower, some have it faster so IMO thats a wash. It is about what I expected). M/T seemed the most neutral didn't love it didn't hate but said its better than the car it replaces. R&T absolutely loved it. I am anxious to see some comparison tests now.

There are at least 5 tests-results for GT-PPs now available. ALL of them are within a 1/10 or 3. ALL of them are reasonably consistent with regard to "performance metrics". NONE of them exceed the BOSS with any consistency... in ANY metric. The '15s struggle to match it...

Like the Hellcat's neon-fluorescent flashy headlines, if the BOSS was the benchmark, someone's slide rule is broken...
