I've no problem paying to have whatever the issue was, repaired. What I had however was a situation where the problem couldn't be diagnosed by GM techs, rather they nickel and dime me over what they say the problem is, only to have it rear up again. My installer never called me back despite three phone calls. So, keep the car and put up with this, trade it on a new 14 Camaro which I'm not a fan of style wise, or get something compatible. I'm not a Mustang fan, Challengers are too big and handle like a wet fish. I'm not a MOPAR, FORD or a Caddy guy, I'm a Chevy guy. There was only one option for me. I took it.

And you cannot put it on the dealer, they deal overwhelmingly with stock cars. You brought them a modded up car and they did their best to fix it. Your problems may well have to do with those shorties so they are under no obligation to fix anything for you. Not to mention you're a victim of your own medicine here, calling me ignorant LOL I criticized your actions, not you but instead you felt the need to use language like that towards me. I don't care, just enjoying pointing that out. I understand though as other people attacked you more and put you on the defense. |

No negative comments on his new SS. So I cannot say anything.
![]() But as for his choice, it's his.- he already said he'll probably regret it. I get it though. Not sure I'd have got an SS sedan to replace the Camaro, but that's just me. Good luck with the new car. Someone has to buy those things.

Not to mention that rather than moving on from this thread, you decide you need to retort and "win" the argument. Trying to push my buttons after I let it be known that I don't appreciate button pushers....Yes, I would again say that ignorant fits well. Since all the facts were readily available there is no need for speculation. Don't want to read all the crap from a year ago? Great, you don't have to, but if you can't be bothered to read it, speculation will be met with a certain degree of annoyance. I got flak for saying I traded my car and the car I replaced it with. IMHO that would never warrant bashing someone. Enthusiasts respect all cars and car owners. You made assumptions about my position when, if you actually read the thread before jumping in, there might have never been an issue. If you don't understand the difference there, I can't help you. At any rate, maybe learn the difference between tactfulness and indignant righteousness? Welcome to my ignore list, it's a very exclusive club.

Would I pay an extra ~$5-10k over a comparable Impala with less HP? No. But this obviously fills some sort of market niche, otherwise GM wouldn't have bothered. IMO most buyers of performance will skip this for a Corvette, or save some cash and get a Camaro. Or just look elsehwere (BMW, Lexus, Audi) if they want a performance 4 door. I actually like the SS sedan but don't like the price or gas mileage. [maybe because they've put it outside of my buying power ] That isn't to say it's overpriced or less efficient than similar cars by other manufacturers, it just doesn't seem to match the price/performance formula that I'd expect them to move many. And as you've confirmed, they're not really going to. 3,000 isn't a lot of cars. I do wish them luck with these and anything that goes 0-60 in 4.5 deserves at least a glance.Frank - definitely check back in a few more weeks once you've settled in and had some time to open 'er up! Lmao just from the way he has responded to me he seems like he knows he made a bizarre and rushed decision. His $20 + Gs, not mine. I hope my idle starts acting up so I can sell my car and get a nice used Aston Martin Vantage with an extra 20+ gs.

What price to performance ratio would you like to see? Last edited by MEDISIN; 06-29-2014 at 05:17 PM. |

For about $50-60gs you can get a real nice low mileage V8 Vantage and if youre lucky even a DB9! And that's asking price. I'm guessing you could negotiate one into the high 40s if you were lucky enough.
