Good idea. I've never done a mirror finish on wood so I'm just guessing. Why not get some wood scrapes and try out various things for yourself? That's the only way you will find a solution you are happy with.

Yeah Kevin I was thinking about that... Apparently bondo can attach to wood so that would be a way.. And sand it and paint it...

Think that will be your best bet because prob no matter what you will see all the grains in the wood
