I don't mind my tax dollars going to the program if it helps spur the economy, as that will help all of us in the long term. And I don't have a clunker that I'm trading in. It appears the program is wild success. I'd rather my money go to help real Americans than wall street bankers.

needing X amount of money, but only having a certain amount. you still have that money. you arent out of it. granted if you were to continue spending at the current rate, yes, you would be out by the pre-set timeframe. but they still have some money left. they've spent approx ~$96 million as of wednesday. which means they still have ~$800+million left.

From another point of view
I love it I got put in charge along with my buddy to destroy the engines. Get to play bumper cars and pull out certain stuff like aftermarket radio system and left behind stuff. My buddy has a nice 4x50 pioneer radio and speakers, I got a nice breaker bar and a really nice thick sun reflector.
We fill the engines with sodium silicate and drive like hell to the parking spots cause sometimes we don't make it .The only down side is not many fun cars, mostly minivans. Best so far was 2002 ford expedtition and a acura slx manual with 4x4. I know theres a Caprice in the line and a big lifted bronco somewhere. |

And I know almost all dealerships (ours included) were NUTZO BUSY! Don't worry, when we're selling at supplier - incentives, the profits are pretty small. (so is my paycheck!)

Hey the owner didn't want it and now it's tagged as a clunker. the Caprice and Bronco are the two more performance oriented cars out of the lot so if they run well I'll be interested to see how the motor takes being siezed slowly. Once it gets the clunker tag I believe its set in stone that it will die a 1-15 minute death. If it makes you feel better cars I've killed nobody wants.
93 Mazda MPV put up the biggest fight in death took 10 minutes and almost started back up ?? Mercury Villager leaking everywhere ?? Dodge caravan also leaking everywhere and the drain plug had no threads left. ?? Izuzu Rodeo...there's a few more of these I believe ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() theres something like 20-35 more of these things that need to be killed in conjunction with regular repair work as of today. |
