Shoulders and Tri's today. Do any of you acutally compete or just general fitness. Aspirations to compete? Any certified trainers in here?

I've been going to the gym earlier than normal, getting up at 4:30 vs. 4:50 to give myself more time for cardio.

It's amazing how well you feel after doing 20-30 minutes of serious cardio. Really sucks at first, but over time your body adjusts and you start to become more motivated to run.

When I played college baseball, we used to run long distance after pitching to break down lactic acid and prevent soreness. I'd like to think I get the same effects from running after a solid work out.

....still not looking forward to the influx of new year's people. Hopefully they don't come in at 5am and ruin one of the best parts of my day.

Have you tried a "Slingshot"? World record bencher mark bell made it. There are several versions, single and double ply. Just goes onto your elbow and across your chest. Pretty much just the chest part of a singlet. Adds 45lbs to your bench instantly. Awesome aparatus. Made my 315 for one goes to 365. I can bench 315 for 6 with it. Worth the 65 bucks.

Crushing legs today. Getting married in 7 days and will be in the bahama's in 8. Can't stand on the beach with chicken legs looking like a fat bastard.

No but I'll look into it for kicks and giggles.

I got out of the sport mid 2000's when there starting to be a lot of bickering and there were "organizations" popping up left and right.

Haven't been in real "gear" since then. I lift with just wrist wraps. Although when I squat I still wear a pair of single ply briefs. Since the hernia it just feels better down there.

Gonna gear up (at least in the bench) this year then maybe do a 3 lift meet 2015. Wish I could get 200-300 out of a shirt like some...most I have got is 80. Guess it would help to have a crew to train with.

Eating tons of sugar over Christmas eve and Christmas set me up for a sick shoulder and arms day yesterday with the wife lol

Occasionally....but not really. Maybe once or twice a month. I supplement 2x a year for 8-12 weeks...I prefer the MHP line. I take multi vitamins, fish oil, things of that nature.
