Forgot, one more. A seldom seen P-51. It has not flown in years. Sits in a hanger in Reno.

Yeah that was a great show.

I thought this thread may be about Remote Control airplanes. I fly those a lot, very fun hobby. I feel as if I'm ever in an airliner and there is a call over the intercom, our pilots are dead, can anyone here fly a plane? I could say, well yes, I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

If only a cop would ask me that!

'Course I'd have to correct him and say it's a certificate, not a license.

Cops love to be corrected.

I don't know how the pilots do it over and over again all day long 6 days a week..... CRAZY!

I've grown up in an aviation family and one of my first jobs out of high school was doing Line Service at Jet Source and Western Flight services at Palomar Airport (KCRQ) in Carlsbad, CA. Well for years now this flying museum ( Collins Foundation) which included a B-17G, B-24, and P-51B have been coming to town once a year in the summer. After KCRQ they usually go to Ramona but because of weather and their lack of IFR equipment had to skip Ramona and go straight to French Valley. Since there were free seats on the leg they let me and few co workers go with (One of which had NEVER flown before despite being 39 and a Line Tech of 10 years ). Here are the photos from my Flight on the B-17. They are in reverse order. Also I don't know what happened to the photo but there was an older, smaller gentleman on board who was a vet and served in Europe as a bombadier in the B-17's and I got a great photo which captured his face right after he looked through the Norton bomb sight which is a facial expression I will never forget for as long as I live.

Very cool! Do you know the name of the B-17?

One of my favorites of all time.... Sentimental Journey! I grew up watching her fly all over my hometown.

Joint civilian and military pilots are getting their yearly air show demonstration training at tucson this weekend. Watched an F-22 this morning doing some crazy maneuvers. Also got a shot of a P38 and P47 in formation over my house. I'm not sure why the pic is sideways.
