BUT, when you look at answers, you see most of people think about euro or japanese cars. I mean, beyong "looking" Mustang or not, they did not recognized the style as american. None of 'em ever thought my 13' 1LE could be japanese. I do agree with you however. Mustang enthusiasts and people aware of Mustang history will find plenty of details to fuel their Mustang needs (taillights, ...). People not aware of Stangs' history (europeans) won't even think it could be american (let's be honest, people buying Fords in Europe don't really realize this is an american brand (it has been around like forever). So I guess this design will make everyone happy. I do not coz' i'm a die hard US cars fan in a boring europe (on a car's point of view) and I really don't see anything "exotic" in this new Mustang. I guess where americans would maybe buy a name before a look, europeans will buy a look before a name. However, I'm not sure Europe would still be an interesting market for this kinda "sports" cars.

I think Ford did a great job with this, I do like it but probably not enough to ever consider one. I just can't seem to get beyond how large the front looks, it seem too big for the car.

One of the reasons I decided to get rid of my 2012 GT, the MT-82 was garbage. If I get into this new GT it will be an automatic car as I do not want to chance issues again, even though they claim improvements to the present.

The auto, 6R80 I believe, is a monster. I'm sure you've seen what some people were able to push that thing to. BUT, I would love to have a manual if they have a proper, FUNCTIONING, six speed. The shame of the whole situation is that Getrag is indeed a very good transmission manufacturer. They've done plenty of high end cars. The problem lies not in the design of the MT-82, but rather whom they've contracted to actually build it, a Chinese firm.

As to all those buttons on the steering wheel that you would see more often - I don't like that much clutter there either. But that may be for a (thankfully optional) technology package anyway. I'm still trying to decide if that double ball joint front suspension needs to have compliance elsewhere that a single lower arm wouldn't in order to work. My opinion - any mfr that insists on putting 19" or larger wheels on their cars needs to specify a brake size that doesn't look lost inside the wheels. Rear brakes included, which in this case might help alleviate some of the comparisons with cars from the other side of the Pacific. Norm |

I was not a fan when I first saw it, but then the more pictures I saw of it from different angles really changed my perspective. I really am a fan of the design and for the first time since the new edge cars 99-04 Mustang has a decent looking ass end IMO.

Look bolstery!
The comp orange or race red in bright light picture that was posted on the last page as well as some of the latest pics on this page sold me. I think it looks great. Even the rear...and this is just the GT/Turbo model.

True, but if you are spending 40k on a car you should at least like the way it looks.
