I was actually hoping to get out the door on a 2SS/1LE LS7 setup for around 55k. Essentially around the price of a base ZL1. That is adding 11k to the sticker price of my 2SS/1LE just for GM letting it ride. Is this not doable and profitable?

Don't get me wrong, the Z/28 is going to get down and dirty on the track and it looks to be an awesome package all around. Suits the name well and I would love to own one if I lived in an area even remotely close to a road course. However that is not the case.
