They are just taking example of operating proceedures from the American government, if they can get away with never paying any of the money they borrow, why cant Tesla?

Starting a new business has it's risks, imagine that. The point, AGAIN, is the innovation that went into this thing. Nothing else comes close in terms of innovation.

It's not what Tesla and the Model S is today that means so much, it's what it represents for tomorrow. They have done what no major manufacturer has been able to do in producing a sleek, powerful, innovative, and practical 4 door electric car. It's a huge step forward. Think of it as proof of concept. Sure they will struggle with bugs and manufacturing issues as any new automobile start up would. Don't expect them to win any J.D. Power awards for reliability just yet. I am kind of hoping one of the domestic manufacturers scoop them up and help them scale production. We could lead the world in electric cars people actually WANT to drive.

Talking about the little roadster that they make in that case. As that's the one that you could buy at this point.

The roadster went out of production not too long ago and is currently sold out, the Model S went into production earlier this year.
