im pretty sure they are on the autobahn. still doesnt explain how they were driving but it explains why they went so fast

Autobahn driving is very different than this. Slow drivers are always on the right, either because they are driving correctly or because they got pulled over for driving incorrectly. A car going this fast and passing on the right could not be driving in the autobahn.
