Then blow up like someone pulled the string on an inflatable raft after the wedding. I'm sure that doesn't describe you, but man it's happened to a half dozen of my friends LOL |

The most sressfull part is the waiting. They did an environmental evaluation two weeks ago and we still have no results. Untill we get the green light on that the sale is pending so I can't make any decissions on purchasing a new shop and this is my busiest time of year . I've been getting about 4-5 hrs sleep a night and it is burnning me out big time. |

I'm still pretty motivated with the workouts, and I "think" I'm sleeping well. I don't wake up a lot or anything like that. It's just like my body is starting to hurt in certain places Guess I gotta start to accept I'm not 25 anymore.I don't think I can take a week off, but I'm skipping Crossfit tonight to give some time to recover. I'll see what happens. |

I struggled alot with my weight in highschool but I think part of that is the food there is just terrible for you. My mother has always been very hard on us about eating clean and getting in 3-5 workouts a week and keeping a healthy weight. I get made when my friends did that - got married then gained alot of weight. My best friend married this girl with a year of knowing her - I was his Maid of Honor - and I helped her get in shape for the wedding. She went from my size to over 220 in a few months after their wedding... I'm like WTH?!?! Don't you want to look you best for your husband? Don't you want to be able to physically do all these fun and adventurous things? Because I'm going to hold Skip to the same standards. I want him to eat healthy and work hard to stay healthy for me. Not only cause he will look awesome but also so I will get as many years out of him as possible. If that was me - I'd leave myself hahaha. I think I'll only get in better shape as I go. Especially since I'll be alone alot with Skips career of choice. |

The same goes for guys though. Some of my friends let them selves go after getting married and it's pathetic. It's always the same excuses....I don't have time, the kids schedule, blah blah blah. I always say "you make time to eat, sleep, and go to work right? You'll make time for things that are important to you and priority." They just roll their eyes at me like I don't have a clue while they grab the next 6 pack of beer and a bag of chips. I struggled with my weight in HS too, but for the opposite reason. I couldn't gain a pound to save my life. I weighed 117lbs when I joined the Marines. I had a body like Bugs Bunny! I'm in the best shape of my life and intend to keep getting after it for as long as I can. When I get too old to push a lot of weight I'll still walk or bike or something. NO way I'm gonna be a fat ass. |

I have gone up & down in my weight & fitness since i got married. I was never morbidly obese & sweet hubby always said he likes the way I looked at any weight, but I DID NOT! When I got to the place I needed size 16 jeans I said no way & refused to buy them. I have been working hard to get back in shape ever since. It has been a rather long road but I am almost there. I don't want to get back to my college skin & bones size. I am fine with my weight at this point, I just want that stubborn tummy gone & to maintain the muscle tone I have (maybe build a bit more). I feel good and that means a lot. Now if I can just get hubby motivated to lose that tummy of his!

How many hours are you sleeping in a night? And do you wake up often? I never lacked motivation necessarily on the couple of occasions I think I overtrained, but my enthusiasm about going to the gym definitely dropped. Muscle recovery was definitely a big deal, and I felt pretty exhausted most days. I also notice strains and the like come more often. Kind of feel like constant muscle tension. Not "painful", but definitely not comfortable. Anyway, when I first started last year, I gained weight back at only 3000 calories a day. But after about 6 pounds or so (which happened in the first month), I just stalled. I had to make an effort to eat much bigger. And not by like another couple hundred calories. I had to bump up to almost 4000 a day for some reason. |

![]() What you described is where I'm at. Like moving around I felt like my hamstrings might cramp up or pull at any minute. Front of my shins are sore, my feet feel fatigued, and my left heel feels like someone smacked it with a hammer. It's gotta be all the jump rope I've been doing. I think that 30-40 mins of double unders Tues did me in. I did legs and triceps at the gym today and was stronger than last week and didn't get any cramps or anything so I think taking last night off was a good thing. I'm off for the weekend and will sleep in tomorrow to rest up. |

Hello All,
Long time reader, 1st time poster!! Anyway I've struggled with weight most of my life, nothing seemed to work or motivated me enough to slim down. A few pages back on or about the end of April I read a post from 11Bee that scared the shizz out of my and got my ass in gear. Since that time I have dropped 57lbs and feel great. All my vitals are back to normal and I have more energy than I've had in years. I still have about 40lbs to go, I expect this to be off by New Years Eve, that’s my goal and once there I will not go up. I'd like to thank all in this thread especially 11Bee for getting me motivated. Anyway here are a couple of pictures showing my progress, the 1st is from about a year and a half ago, the 2nd from Jury 3rd, since then I have dropped another 14 so I’m a bit leaner. I wil try and be a bit more active in this post with the hopes of reaching my goal by New Years Eve. No more big and short department for me ![]() My god, I never knew how bad I looked:(! I have a good wife for not kicking my fat ass out the door ![]()
