Not working out at all. But still here.

Gained about 3 pounds. But still down 27.

Mine wasn't a new years resolution but a bet with Chris. lol

I won.

I have a low tolerance for heat so I get heat stroke VERY easy - my Dad is the same way something about our veins not expanding. All my life if I do any kind of workout or work in the summer heat I'll start throwing up and I'll get a headache so bad I'll be in a ball in bed all night - thats if i can make it home. When the humidity is low and we aren't under a high, I can usually get away with it but weather like this weak it would KILL me.

So my mom, Skip and the doctor ganged up on me and told me to wait till fall.

That stinks! They keep it hot as hell in that gym. 97° last night but I've seen it triple digits several times. I have to carry a towel with me to sit on going home and can literally wring my shirt out like a wash towel when I leave. I usually go full on redneck and just drive home without a shirt on to cool off. I like it though...makes me feel like I worked hard.

Yeah no I would probably die hahaha... So when I said I wanted to go Mom made me go ask my doctor and he said no until fall set in. So hopefully in a month or two.

On a seperate note - our in home gym is under construction, ready to run electrical and put the sheet rock up, floor is ordered... So hopefully soon!!

My little workout buddy who is the star of my fitness blog - my kitty Kiwi - passed away last week. I have had her since the day she was born 14 yrs ago. It has made my workouts hard this week cause the I get upset that she isn't hanging out with me... Or trying to get under my feet. It really sucks.

Got to try the Pizza thing! I'm still here. Just got preoccupied with the fest. It was a blast but I really had to watch myself as I stayed on the verge of heat exhaustion. Luckily I know my body pretty well & curtailed my activities :( missing out on some things I really wanted to to, & did what I needed to do to get my core temp down. Diet was not the best but I did not to too badly. Still working on the last of that stubborn belly fat.

Really sorry to hear about your loss. A lot of us here know how hard it is to lose a beloved pet.

Sorry to hear about the pet BB. I have a 12 year old lab that's been my best friend and I'll be heart broken when she dies. She's starting to show her age and can't jump in the bed or in the back of the 4Runner anymore, I have to pick her up now. She's all grey in the face, cataracts and can't see in the dark. She still has bursts where she runs around the house and wants me to throw her toys but it's far and few between anymore.

Oh, and on the Doctor stuff...no offense to anyone on here who may be a health care professional, but in my experience they really know very little about the needs of an athletic person. If you're 50lbs over weight, depressed, and smoke 2 packs a day they're experts. I usually go in and just tell my doc what I need and get on with it. Their advice is always uber conservative and not designed to push a person to perform at their maximum potential. Case in point, I had my thyroid worked on a few years ago and they wanted me to take 6 weeks off the gym. I was back lifting weights 3 days after surgery.

Awe poor pup! At least she has a parent that loves her!

My doctor is a family friend and I've been going to him since '91. He bends alot of rules for me, but he really didn't want me to start crossfit till we got back to 80 temp days with lower humidity.

I had some really bad heat episodes in highschool and college. Trust me having to have my mom come and get me from a college work camp and put me in the back of her car to get me home then sleeping for 40 hours... Not fun. I really dont want to do that again ahah. If the place had AC or fans I would go in a heart beat.

Hey everyone! I've been busy training for the Toughmudder...we all train solo during the week, but I take my team out every Sunday and beat the hell out of them!! They hate me but they love me!!! LoL!

Went to the Fest and had a blast...ate like crap and didn't exercise, but nothing too drastic that I can't bounce back from quickly!! Had a nice run with my hubby and dog this morning after my daughter got on the school bus!! Can't believe they are back to school already!!!

Good to hear from some lost souls, no one's been here for a while. LOL I'm still at it but I am so stressed out over the potential sale of my shop my sleep paterns are way out of whack and it is showing on my workouts, My weight load is down and I'm burnt out and I am quite sad to say although my weight hasn't changed I've got a little belly. Stress sucks.

Didn't know you were selling your shop CFD. Stress sucks and is one of the worse things on you, as I'm sure you know. Makes me thankful I don't stress out very often.

My workouts are still going very well, but I'm starting to wonder if I'm over doing it. I get to Crossfit about 30 mins early and practice jump rope (double unders) and I'm finally getting the hang of them. Then the hour of Crossfit. I always push to do the Prescribed Workout rather than one of the easier progressions.

However the past 10 days or so my knees and my left heel have been bothering me and I'm exhausted. I sleep plenty but it's like I can barely get up in the mornings and it takes forever for me to feel "awake" after I get to work. My diets good I think, so maybe I'm just over training? I've been lifting as heavy as I possibly can on Mon Wed and Fri and kicking my own ass at Crossfit on Tues and Thurs. I have put on 10lbs now though and my bodyfat was 7.4% this morning so I'm growing at least.

I don't know what the deal is.

I did Insanity Cardio Power last night... Doing Plyo tonight and then going to the gym in the morning.

I gave myself a few days rest after Kiwi but its two months to the wedding so I gotta get moving. Not that I can lose much more without having to buy a new dress. Ugh. But it would be nice to tone up a little more.

Hi CFD! I'm sorry about all the stress. That definitely takes its toll for sure.
