I'm starting to just think I need to cut my losses, but it SUCKS losing 10 years and 4 weeks vacation to start all over on the bottom somewhere else. But... they just don't want to help me and I just get fed up at this job.

Yeah, it's unfortunate but you will need to cut it as a loss. Companies don't know how to take care of or treat their good employees. If you are really that unhappy, why stay there anyways. Granted you will have to start from the bottom up, but if the environment is better it's probably worth it. Plus, you can move closer to loved ones and friends!! Take your 4 weeks of vacation at the end. Take 2 wks, walk in, give your notice, take the last 2 wks. and TADA!!! Unless they pay you out for your time. That's another positive right there!!

Babies/Kids are the BEST!!!

My son's were my greatest accomplishments in life!! If I had nothing else but them...............I would still be unbelievably happy!!!

Oh no they don't - use it or lose it.
I will just be really unhappy if I get a new job and can't keep my Christmas time off b/c my family has been trying to plan a family Christmas for years and I don't want to be the one to screw it up this time. But I did mention that to my parents and they were both kinda on the same page that if it's b/c I get a new job then so be it.
It would jus tbe :( b/c I'm alone on Christmas way to much. But I might end up working for a company that doesn't suck when it comes to holiday's

But ya....it's not a bad company - I'm just in a shtty group and it
s impossible to get out of. I feel worse b/c I just got my degree and am still getting nowhere.

I tried though. I tried to stay here and move, I even tried to broaden my areas looking but I guess it's time to GTFO.

Have you considered toughing it out until the end of the year?? Then when December hits, take your month off so you get it all in there then say 'PEACE BTCHES'?? That's an idea.

Yeah, that's what makes it worse when the company is good, but the ppl you work around are crap!! Well, if you have exhausted all other avenues and you truly aren't happy then yeah, you need to GTFO of there. No sense in being unhappy everyday just because of the $$$. You know?!?! That's no way to live, plus.....................you have someone in MD waiting for you so that's even BIGGER!!! Remember the talk we all had a month or so ago with you about the guys there sucking, and you couldn't find a good one, blah blah blah......then you found Mike and he lives in MD!!

Hey, everyone has their personal views/preferences. Sarah is the same way. She is happy coming and going whenever and wherever. Some ppl are just not parental material, and better to decide and know that know then when it's too late. Some women are just ok going their whole lives not having kids, and then there are others that wish they could, but can't because of medical reasons. Then there are ppl like me that wanted and had kids. Everyone is different and it's understandable. Your life, your decisions!!! Besides, I don't know if your home could handle another shoe fanatic like you living there. The house would explode with shoes!!
