Who, besides Ol' Shel, died and annointed YOU the "Rosetta Stone of press releases and other people's comments"?!

In Shelby's accomplishments, you forgot some:

Shelby Dakotas come to mind...another sorry example of Iacocca/Shelby collusion. Along with the Shelby Charger and Daytona, a clearly blatant abuse of the hallowed Cobra Daytona Coupe and NASCAR-inspired '69 Chargers of the same name. But hey, anything for a few buck$...

The Series1? Really?!

GT40? Made by Lola... In '66 and '67, Shelby and his very talented staff oversaw the Le Mans victories. Someone had to save Henry the Deuce from himself. Did they kill Ferrari? Only very briefly.

Le Mans races, as we speak. Ford? MIA...
I was gonna ask how you got your username but your post brings it to light.

But Ford's releases are held to a much different standard...by Ford Fans...

Why is that?!

Doctors take the HYPOCRATIC oath...Ford fans take the HYPOCRITIC oath, apparently...

Drag racing: 4 times; Autocross: 2 times; Parking: ZERO.

"Standard technologies include a nine-speaker Boston AcousticsŪ audio system; USB and Bluetooth connectivity; and rear-park assist with a rear-view camera display integrated in the center rear-view mirror."

Park assist mentioned? No, emphasized!

If you'd like a better explanation of emphasis for your many future ramblings, here is a good example:

Not so fast, says Camaro Chief Engineer Al Oppenheiser (above). Speaking with Autoblog at an Arizona drive event for the Camaro ZL1, Oppenheiser told us, "We've done simulations. We predict that the ZL1 will be quicker to 60 than the [2013] GT500..."

You were declared the winner 4 pages ago... do we really need to define "mentioned" and "emphasized" again..

I saw a botched version of my username mentioned in another incoherent rambling of his. I figured it justified a response.

My good friend and co-worker just bought a 2012 Shelby silver w/ stripe delete because he got a great deal and could not find ANY dealer that would sell a 2013.

My question to you guys is, are there Ford dealerships out there that have a no markup policy?

I know lots of Chevy dealers abide by nothing over MSRP and I was lucky enough to have a car on order with one and then buy from another one by just searching Auto Trader. I tried this w/ the Shelby and Leguna Seca today and all were marked way up.

Tell that to every dealer selling a ZL1 on eBay, right now. They are no different. Hence the word M.S.R.P (suggested retail price). I two, think its foolish to pay any type of ADM on a new car. My local Chevy dealership has a black ZL1 with a 20k mark-up, and per the salesman, it's a "steal".

LOL @ Ebay... I think you missed my point... I can list dealers, and many others have found Chevy dealers that DO NOT sell cars over Suggested Retail Price. My question was are there any Ford dealers that do the same?

Agreed.

I can get a 2013 GT500 at MSRP. I won't do it, because I consider it a shit deal...lol.

Both of my local dealers have markups on either vehicle. Luck of the draw that usually plays more into the operating standards/ethics/tactics of the family/operator of the dealership vs the manufacturer. After all, the manufacturer suggests a price, it doesn't force the price.

HOLY!!! And THAT is what created the "Legend"?!

Carrol[l] Shelby clearly implied

NO, he didn't "imply" (more Rosetta Stone-d)...he SAID...

Fords svt techs said they are confident that on any track, same day, the gt500 is faster than the zl1. Confidence and 100% fact I will beat you statements are decidedly different. One approach is respectable, the other is too brash and gaudy.

You mean SHELBY was "brash and gaudy", don't you? But he's a "legend" so that's OK?!
,
I clearly remember seeing a ford gt racing m3's, 911's, and c6's

WOW, a $150K car racing (but NOT beating) cars worth 1/2 that...some accomplishment, like the entire "birthday" program?!

Also, no one has titled me the Rosetta stone... You likened me to a political extremist... Quit that lest you fall privy to the ban stick you so eagerly wave at ford owners.

No one else bothered to call you for what you're doing, here. And YOU are the only one on this site capable of making comparisons? Not hardly.

And BTW, political debate is NOT allowed...a simile YOU introduced...

In closing, a memo from the lowly peanut gallery you so eagerly seek to rid this site of through provocation, those of us who own fords. Please seek to post in at least the basis of self respecting rhetoric that doesn't end up painting you as misinformed.
You arrive on this site with a clear agenda...a CAMARO site...with vitriolic Ford fan-isms (speaking of "self-repecting rhetoric"-your version), defending a legendary figure who, himself, would laugh at all this nonsense being spouted...because HE spouted some of it himself.

And then you have the NERVE to feel "injured"...that you're not being spoken to, "respectfully" (my gullibly meter is off the charts, here?). Go back to your sandbox...

Camaro has 'Ring times for "Marketing Purposes" (Ford-boy reasoning), and Ford has Shelby...for the EXACT SAME REASON.

FACT, "Sean"...

Shelby, like his Chili Sauces, was far more than ONE SINGLE INGREDIENT. Some of what made Shelby, the man, a LEGEND would NOT be allowed in those sauces...a pretty good dollip of good ol' fashioned Texas B/S...he AND his saucy-ness could be VERY "incendiary", a word you apparently approve of.

Another fact.
