Well, yes and no. After driving the Auto and Manual with the 3.73 rear, I can see the potential for a good post grad gift to myself that won't be a headache for repairs (IRS for when I punch the Launch control wrong and fry it).

And GOD knows I don't want to be without a car after I give up the Exploder. And my connections in the parts department over at Kistler help alot. Especially if I want to go ahead with 5.0 mods and have this car become a guinea pig. In the end, I'll rephrase it AGAIN!

Why is Zabo a Sith Lord:

-Price
-Connections to Dealerships (vs GM Dealerships)
-Z-Plan
-Cost of Ownership Post Grad.

I'm just hedging my bets right now. I WILL BE BUYING A 1SS CAMARO USED IN THE FUTURE! So guys, lighten up. Now's not the time for a Camaro, and I didn't need a people hauler muscle car. The Mustang was right for the time and I DID NOT want to go into a econobox of ANY make post grad. Be glad I'm still rooting US and keeping it in the American Pony family. I'd shoot myself before I drove a Honda/Toyota/Ricecooker..

the v6 camaro isn't really competition for the current GT... 5.0 will just widen that gap

X-Plan is Stock holders
A-Plan is for current factory employees
Z-Plan is for retired factory employees

A/Z Plan is the rock bottom price for any car from Ford. In total, I had the grabber down to a 19K 5 year note. Way under 300/mo which is why I jumped. Or I could be paying for a 2LT @340/mo for 7yrs come Mid 2010 when I could have sourced a track pack and 302 stang for the same price and paid it off in 5.

NUMBERS MAN! NUMBERS!!

Remember to up the numbers by a couple grand just to be safe, as I'm sure a new engine may cost a little more for the first little bit.

EDIT: This post is not being snarky, even though it may sound like it. I just am very cautious when it comes to determining payments!

I have, but with the price increase on the GT already, I'm thinking they planned ahead and boosted MSRP enough to soften the 5.0 blow. Still could charge 1K overall for the motor. I think the Ecotec might cost buyers more though; the LS3's replacement may be just as big a thing for Camaro purchasers in the coming years when LS Gen III motors are phased out.

And yes, I'm waiting for the 5.0L. Might as well since I won't be ordering before December anyhow and that was the original plan.

Eh, I wouldn't really use that as a basis. I'd say throw a couple extra thousand on the price for the stripper car and that way you should be safe either way.

Why don't you get an LS?

If you want a Mustang get a used GT and save a boatload of cash.

I really can't tell much diff between the 2 gens.
