I guess no one ever told them theres nothing private about the net. My guess is they like many others can't handle the truth.By the way I have never had one negative thing to say about the camaro ever And if I get banned for this I promise I won't lose a second of sleep over it.. I hear that phrase repeated her a lot, and what I'm reading into it is GM is still on top of the performance game since the Corvette trumps the Mustang. That's true, but does the Corvette really compete with the Mustang? If you believe it does, than I suppose it also competes with the Camaro.
I still think the best thing GM could do is move the Corvette upscale, and widen the gap between it and the Camaro. That would give the Camaro room to grow to its' full potential. Corvette sales may lessen, but they're not exactly on fire right now. |

Here's the thing. If I were to post up that I drive a Chrysler, then some portion of the members would assume I was some Mopar fan only here to stir things up. Likewise if I were to say my ride was a Mustang or a BMW. What I currently drive gas no bearing at all on the opinions and/ or facts I post. I am "car" person and do not have allegiance to any particular manufacturer. I've owned various GM, Chrysler and Ford products, including Camaro's and Mustang's. Growing up, my family and friends were big Mopar fans, but never once did I feel pushed into buying only Chrysler products or belittled if I did not. (Ribbed from time to time, sure, but all in fun.) What purpose would it serve for me to tell you what my current car of choice is?

On the contrary it has a lot of bearing on things. The way we look at it is if your don't have a horse in the race and typically don't have a good thing to say about Chevy, your just here to start crap.

Besides, who says I don't have a horse in this race? See, that's precisely why I don't post what I drive any more. (If you will remember, I used to) If I didn't/don't own a Camaro, then I must have some clandestine agenda for posting here? Yes, I weigh in with my opinions, but I rarely,if ever, start the conversation. |

True. The majority of Camaro or Mustang owners will never race their cars, and don't want to. If they did, most of them would end up dirty side up against the wall. Asking which one is really faster is just for bragging rights, and then subject to who is driving it. The vast majority buy them for the styling and adequate or above adequate power. I raced my Solstice on road courses, but would NEVER race my Camaro. Compared to the Solstice, handles like a barge. But what a beautiful barge it is!. Which is why I bought it over the Mustang. Sooo...I don't care what some pro driver is able to turn a lap or a 1/4 in. I didn't buy it for that, and I doubt many really do.

Do they cost the same? Do you get a limited slip diff in both?

I hear that comment all the time but whom at Ford has stated this? Other than the Ford GT of a few years ago, Ford does not play in that market segment.
