Shakes are very useful as a suppliment to a good diet, some people tend to substitute solid based meals with them which is better than some choices but the body was designed to digest food.

That is similar to the way I eat. I use 1-2 protein shakes a day as well, usually consumed pre or post workout.
If you workout rigerously it's hard to get enough protein without them

A lot of people cut out red meat from their diet but there is nothing that can pack on muscle like lean meat, face it, we are carnevours.

I eat mostly Bison/Buffalo, it's higher in protein and much leaner than the leanest cuts of beef.

I had buffalo for the first time a few months ago, still felt bad cause they are cute and my neighbor has one.

We eat alot of steak but my dad used to be a butcher and so he gets the best cuts and trims all the fat off. We have steak about once every week to two weeks.
