I really like these shoes. Can you tell me where on the web you found 'em?

Thanks

Well, you just know....

My story: We lost our Madeline after 8 years with us (she was 10) to a large tumor in her lungs. She was at my side the whole time I was recovering from PC surgery; she lived 2 years after that. My "man card" was revoked on the spot for the tears shed over that. I vowed never to get another as I couldn't handle a loss like that again... 1.5 months later, wife and daughter convinced me otherwise when they found 2 year old Suzie. All went well for almost 2 years (she had a lot of throwing up days) then she had to go due to stomach cancer; "man card" had to be suspended again. Yes, 1.5 months later a trip to the shelter resulted in getting 9 month old Cinder. All was well until 3 months later she became ill with FIP. No hope for recovery; just turned in my "man card" permanently at that point... I never had a pet until I was 50 and never thought I'd get so attached to an animal!! Well, you guessed it 1 month later here's Holly. 2 years now, "man card" back in my possession, and all is going well. So, go for it and good luck!!!![/QUOTE]

We all know how sad it is to lose our family members..and there is no such thing as having your 'man card' revoked when it comes to matters of the heart. we are all human ..and the majority of us have real hearts and know how to use them...such as love...for family, our pets and friends...

Thank you for sharing your story...and i'm glad to see that you're happy again. and they do bring us so much happiness...

Well, before Majix I had Sam....unfortunately it was expected and we knew that day as he was way too ill...he was exactly 20 and a half years and blessed our lives for exactly that time. It took about 6 months before we were ready to go and adopt another...and that's how Majix came to be...sadly ...he left too young..

On a side note..before we had Sam...I had El Gato...my first cat who until today is just as special in my heart....made it to almost 15 years..

So, I wonder when I'll know...

Thank you for the kinds words again...

Yes indeed.

Dude, they didn't take away or suspend your man card. Real men love and they hurt when something happens to something they love. Your man card was intact, the angels were just adding to it.
Well put Jay

The last 2 cats we adopted just showed up when we were ready... Literally! Rudy was a stray who decided our garage was a good place to live (pretty smart for a tiny kitten), and Stumpy had been hanging around the neighborhood a few months when I decided to keep him. The people (losers) who "owned" him moved a couple of days after I made him an indoor kitty, without even looking around the neighborhood for him...
Basically, a kitty in need of a good home will come along when your home and heart are ready for another kitty. You'll just know.

That's so true about cats. I have more stories than I have space. The ones we have now came to us in three waves. First one kitten, then a few weeks later his two little brothers arrived in the back of my pickup as newborns. Then a few months later, three more newborns left in our yard. We said we'd find homes for them when they were old enough, but when you bottle feed them for a few days, it becomes impossible to part with them. The older siblings helped with the cleaning. (The dog even pitched in!) Now we have one big happy family of cats who all get along surprisingly well. (Sadly, one disappeared last year.) Sometimes having so many can be trying, but life is never dull.

Hey Mike, I've been wanting to hear more about the new CPAP. How is it working for you? One of the aforementioned cats decided to steal the filter out of mine at about 4:30 this morning. Bad design. I can snort and blow the filter out of the machine!

You've created interesting pictures in my mind, Gary - one, the cat stealing the filter, and two, you snorting the filter!
