First, my 2012 with 950 miles on the OD:
11.88@119 with tires/wheels and a tune. It ran 120MPH on a run later in the night.

2010 Camaro SS with a cam and other mods at the same track:

So to make a manual trans LS3 Camaro reliable at the track running 11's N/A:

That was back when I put the pencil to the paper before I made the switch.

Again, not intending to start a flame war here however that is what was behind my decision and my statement(s).
ouch. Do you have weight reduction mods?

I think in another thread he said he took the seats out, but you would have to confirm.

It also looks like the camaro is running street tires and the mustang drags?

Either way the 5.0 mustang is fast.

yeah, im paying attention to the traps though. 5.0's with boltons flat out move. They seem to trap similar and sometimes faster than CAMMED 5th gens.

So your weight reduced mustang with SLICKS and skinnes can beat a cammed camaro on street tires, not to mention 20" wheels on all corners? Big deal. I'm not gonna take much else you say as valid information.

The passenger seat was removed, front sway bar was removed, Corbeau driver seat, rear seats were removed and spare tire and jack removed.

That all netted about 100lbs. Rest of the car was stock including the factory exhaust/cats. Estimated race weight was 3,500lbs.

Lol.

If you would bother clicking and reading the Youtube comments you would have noticed the Camaro was on drag radials and pulled a 1.94 60' compared to my 1.88 60'. A difference of .06.

....and I will take your credibility with a grain of salt for your MT-82 issues and complaining that Ford wouldn't honor your warranty because your car was tuned. You should know full well Ford's stance on that based on the following TSB:

I knew their stance on the warranty before I ever took the car to them. They knew the parts were there when they fixed the trans the first time. I can't help what happened, all I can do is tell you about it. The part that got me was they had just fixed it once. But they didn't want to do it again a day later? That's horseshit. I didn't install anything in the trans to break it. If a wimpy dyno tune breaks the mustang's trans, then maybe they need to buy a Tremec 6060 like everyone else has. But wait, they couldnt do it cheaply that way. Thats ford for you, makes a decent car, then ruins it with a basic part problem or issue. Until that trans goes away, I'm never gonna own another mustang. And that's sad, because the 5.0 was my third mustang since I was 18 and I liked it very much, but you can only take so much shit before you need to move on.

I can understand the frustration. The tune however disables TQ management which does impact the transmission although the MT-82 will handle 700ft.lbs. in the S197 chassis. The tune should have voided the drivetrain completely and they should have been consistent about it none the less.

I owned 2 cars with the TR-6060 in them. 2010 Camaro SS and 2010 GT500. In my experience the MT-82 shifted better than both. The TR-6060 isn't without issue either.

What about the automatic?

I agree with you. I typically put less weight on the problems companies run into and more weight on how they address the problems. I was looking at a mustang, but after hearing how Ford has handled the transmission situation and warranty claims I made the choice to go camaro. Although I always liked camaros regardless. That and at least in manual trim the camaro has more north american part content than Ford.

What is the real story with that? In some cases I hear the MT82 is only rated at 380 ft lbs which is less than the engine makes. In other cases I hear it is rated higher than 380 ft lbs. What is the TR6060 rated?

This Ford troll fanboy posted lots of comments on his Mustang and he did take passenger and rear seats out as well as intake mods. The other thread was something like: what do I need to do to my Camaro to beat a 5.0. Now, again, he says wheels and tires got him into the 11s...., gees...just to get a car into the 11s is absolutely phenominal and commendable, but to try to convince the guys on this forum that all you have to do is put tires and wheels on a 5.0 and run 11s is absolute BS! Next to his post, I posted a video of a 5.0 with a dyno tune, wheels tires and other mods that couldn't get into the 12s.

You still don't have it right..... Tires/wheels/tune.

I can't account for another 5.0 owner's ability to drive or quality of tune they are using. Seriously, you should come out of your bubble.
