Were you expecting them to ditch the solid axle in 2012/2013?? this is just a "facelift" year. Im surprised they raised the power a bit (legit power increase, not just rating).

I dont understand how they put so much power down if they are indeed 412hp SAE (now 420ish?) but im gonna guess it has pretty low drivetrain losses.

90% of the people who buy cars don't know if a car has a live axle or IRS and doesn't really care. Fact is enthusiasts are very small part of the buying public.

And these are all opinions I see all the time for the rear of 2010-12 Mustangs so its NOT an opinion thing. The Camaro backend lights look like something from a super car the Mustangs not so much.

You are right that IRS isnt as good at the dragstrip but it looks like everyone will have to get used to that from here on out since the next Gen Mustang is getting IRS again like the Camaro has and the new Barracuda likely will too. Plus anyone that has rode in a current Gen Mustang knows how much rougher it is on the road compared to the Camaro where you dont feel anything on the road really due to the IRS.

Sorry dude its still an opinion just like many have about the Camaros rear. IMO its just as ugly with its huge flat shapless butt.

Also the Zl1 is quick and handles well but is not near the same level as modern supercars. Sersiously, most run 0-60 in the low 3s and high 2s, 1/4 miles in the 10s/very low 11s, pull 1+ g on the skidpad, I am sorry, but while the ZL1 is a great performance pony car with excellent performance per dollar, it is NOTHING like the event that is a modern supercar.............

Ford has no reason to change the SRA on the 5.0 because it is still kicking the SS arse. Don't hate, it's the truth. As far as the same SRA on the GT500, we'll see how it does against the ZL1's awesome suspension. Personally, I can't wait for Ford to start using IRS on the Mustangs but I can't diss what they've been able to do with the current set up.
