I like all cars for their own traits.
Chevys are generally easy to work on and the parts are straightforward.
Fords are fun too but they are a little more work in finding the right parts.

Knock on wood I've had to fix more things on my Camaro in the past 2 and a half years than the 69 Thunderbird...... Then again not everything works in the tbird yet. Cant wait to do more internal work to the 429.

i can respect anything cool especially if they did the work themselves i built a 3/4 ton chevy with a 14 inch lift and way too small 37s and had to replace driveshafts and steering parts semi annually so my point is...everything will need fixed sometime so why hate? unless your egging on your buddy to come to the track and race

i live in a ford family(uncle and grandfather work for ford) well on my moms side any way. but to me it depends on the vehicle as i always find fords cars to be boring to look at and always loved the look of the chevys and dodges compared to fords but i still think fords look better then alot of imports like kias hyundai toyotas etc.But when it comes to trucks ford wins hands down but this is from my perspective as i seen to many people have issues with their rams and silverados

I have noticed most Camaro guys like the Challenger. Not me... I would rather have a GT. I think the Challenger looks like a bloated boat. I love the new Charger SRT8 though.

Read my sig quote...

This...

Quite frankly I have never understood brand loyalty. I hated most Fords for a long time, but not because of who made them. I hated most American cars as well for a long time. They were shit cars. The Mustang has always been the exception for me. I keep waiting for a refresh to disappoint me, and it never seems to.

Things have gotten a lot better. The 80s and 90s were some dark years for American cars.

I like both Chevys and Fords, I even have one of each. I don't like Hondas or Toyotas though.

I think brand loyalty has a bit to do with your personal experience, either through yourself directly or a close personal relation. At least for me, and many of the posters on this thread, it does.

When you find something that works for you, don't you stick with it? This doesn't mean to close the door to all your other options... it just means you will give a certain company an edge, a preference, because they have been good to you. Does that explain it?

And, hating or not choosing a specific brand because they have done you wrong... is the same thing. (brand dis-loyalty? ...un-loyalty?)

No preference between the brands. I like particular models like the ZR1 or Terminator.
