I've owned each of big 3.
My 94 ford f 150 has been good, till reliable hunting truck. 250k miles. Bought my 04 Hemi Ram, wanted mustang butvthey dodnt cone out to talk. 1st nicer vehicle I owned, but it seemed to have trouble off and on. Also know family that's had trouble with chryslers. My Camaro I got because I wanted to move onto gm. Dad has always had Chevys. It was time for me to join. Always impressed with his trucks quality and reliability. Looking forward to the time with mine. |

Growing up my parents always had Fords and they were always breaking down. My first 2 cars were Fords and always had issues. Even my moms current car is Ford and it's having issues.
I've just always seen Ford cars as unreliable

Never had luck with Fords. Dad owned an F-series and a Mustang. Had problems with both of them.
Not saying they don't build good cars, they just don't work for us. And that whole thing with my dad's 30 years of employment with GM. In any case, I hate imports way more than any Ford.

I actually don't dislike Ford at all, or at least Ford trucks. My dad always had a company vehicle that was an F Series truck, and they were always reliable for us. They hardly broke down at all. I am actually driving one of his old company trucks as my DD.
But my love for Chevy all started with my dad too. He bought the 69' Camaro in the sig, and we restored it when I was around 10. Ever since then, I have been a big Chevy fan. And like Fen, I dislike Imports a lot.

Im not a Chevy guy or Ford guy, I buy what I like, I dont care who makes it. Convincing yourself that you dislike every single vehicle a certain manufacturer ever made is a little close minded/high school-ish to me, never understood those people.
Love Mustangs, but as Ive said before - nothing from 71-04 deserves to be called a Mustang. Hated the Fox bodies, hated the sn95s - seriously, a Mustang that looks like a Toyota?? No thanks. (and I love Toyotas - I have an FJ) I had an 05 and an 08 GT, I loved those cars when they were the only game in town. One thing I didnt like is my right leg was always up against the console, drove me nuts, and the new ones are the same. I drove a 2011 and I loved everythng about it, especially the steering feel, but hated the shifter feel and the aforementioned Right Leg Crunch. To me, great cars, but at the end of the day Im a superficial bastard, and the Camaro and Challenger win by miles in the looks department. Theyre just playing it too safe with the Mustang, especially that back end. The 2013s are an improvement, but its still a little too beige for me. |

It's not that I dislike Ford, in fact I think they look really nice BEHIND a Chevy. I come from a family of race car drivers (small track) and we have always been Chevy. We were Chevy back when Ford had nothing and Dodge was wiping the floor with everyone. My grandfather was the 1st at his hometown track to run a Chevy V-6 and stomp the competition V-6's.
So, it's just a natural thing for us to love Chevy. It's like apple pie. |

I'm with axe on this one. I find it somewhat silly to not like a car based on who the manufacturer is. In fact I think it's a great thing that we have so many companies competing in the same market. It makes for better cars for us when they are all competing with each other!

2 of my friends have 07 and up silverados and both have needed new engines. (oil pump issues) My dads 03 silverado needed a new engine in 2005 with all of 6,000 miles on it 2 years.
My point is that everyone can come on here and tell a story about a particular brand that they have had a bad experience with. Did these horro stories stop me from buying GM products..... NO. (2009 gmc sierra all terrain, 2010 camaro ss, 2011 Cruze for the wife, etc etc) I wouldn't swear off an entire brand for 1 or 2 bad experirneces, but if you want to then go ahead. I DD a f150 now and wouldn't even consider a new silverado/sierra. As far as the mustang issue, yes they are plain and yes I wouldn't own one. (Well except a gt500 if it was given to me) |

I like them both. Looks is subjective. Why hate? You are only depriving yourself the true meaning of this hobby. Like them all and you will enjoy and appreciate being a car enthusiast 100x better.

As a kid in the 1960's my first automotive love was the Corvette.....I still dig Corvettes and if it was within my budget I'd own a new ZR1. I always liked Camaro's and Chevelle's too.
