The Saleen Aquada

This was on my Homepage this morning, It's no Camaro but still it be a nice way to get to work

While it may not be able to go underwater like some other cars, it's still pretty cool that you can get this vehicle to serve both as a speed boat and a sports car. The Saleen Aquada, as you may be able to fathom from its name, is a convertible sports car that also happens to drive just fine along the surface of the water. In this way, it's a boat and car rolled into one.

Switching between the two modes is as simple as hitting a button. When you are approaching the water, you hit this magic button and drive into the water. The wheels rise up, you hit the accelerator, and "nearly a tonne of thrust pushes the Aquada onto the plane." The conversion process takes about 12 seconds.
The Saleen Aquada is a water baby; it can reach speeds of 40 mph on land and water. The Aquada is intended to work as a sports car on the road and a speedboat on the water. "Simply press a button and drive into the water. The wheels automatically rise and as you press the accelerator nearly a tonne of thrust pushes the Aquada onto the plane. The whole process takes less than 12 seconds. The Aquada can plane at over 30mph." Saleen is also working on bringing the Gibbs Aquada and Quadski to the North American market. Gibbs plans to introduce the models here late in 2009 or early in 2010.

Why yes, Sean Connery is. And that does sorta look like him in the second picture..lol.

You guys need to get your priorities straight. While I wouldn't drive that car either, I'm still going to talk it up likes it cool. Selfish reasons of course.

Imagine the first time you see one of those in a high speed police chase live on Fox News. That car puts those chases on a whole new level..lol.
