Big time! Especially if they decide to move production to Oshawa.

i really think they should have stopped making the grand prix over and over and over... where's the creativity? all they did was rebadge for years.

I guess I should also include this

"Of course, one other question is the CTS, CTS-V, CTS Coupe, CTS Sport Wagon considered one nameplate of 4? I'd think one, but knowing GM they might think that's 4." -zete, GM Inside News forum

I think you may be wrong on those being the 34. Still too many "competing" brands with in a brand...

Do we really need:

Well anything from GMC?
an Avalanche, Yukon, Tahoe, Suburban and Escalade?
an SRX.... bad idea.
Lacrosse and Lucerne
HHR, Terrain, Envoy, Equniox, Traverse and Enclave

GM NEEDS to make it simple. There are plenty of choices out there even if they went do to like 15:

Aveo
Cruze
Volt
Malibu
Impala
Camaro
Corvette
Minivan (Uplander)
Crossover (HHR, Equinox, Traverse...etc)
Colorado
Silverado
Tahoe or Suburban
Van
CTS
STS

Thats plenty... tell me something I missed that can't be filled by something on my list? You can get a Tahoe equally as nice as an Escalade... but ohhhh its not a Cadillac.. SO WHAT! You don't need 4 or 5 different types of crossovers. You don't need a huge vehicle like the Suburban. Make a 3/4 ton Tahoe for towing big boats and youre good to go.

Buick and GMC's heads should be on the chopping block next. GM is on some what the right track to scale down. I don't think they are cutting enough but baby steps I guess.

Don't flame me but if you all want to see GM make it, lots of changes have to be made. People have to lose jobs, cars have to get nixed...

You guys have to understand that the country we live in has geography and weather that necessitates some of the vehicles that you want killed off. This is a big problem for the environmentalists who all live in California...

Just because the temperature never gets below 60 degrees year round where they live, they think SUVs and trucks are "wasteful".

Up here in the Northeast, there is a real need for SUVs, and I mean a real SUV with ground clearance and 4WD, not some wimpy crossover with front wheel drive and AWD part time to the rear wheels.

The need exists for these vehicles and the Trailblazer/Envoy should be retained in some form. Sure, you can get a pickup with similar capability but you can't fit a family in a pickup, and it's not the same.
I don't know what I'm going to drive in the winter in the coming years.

Based on this list, they've got to save the Solstice or Sky. I was hoping that GM would rebadge one as a Chevrolet Stingray with styling cues from the original Corvette. They also should save the G8 since it is the only other car on the Zeta platform. That would be a cost-cutting measure, and it would allow another Chevy to be built on the same platform as the Camaro.
