Why would a mafia member cast one of the very last votes to kill a fellow mafia member? It's counter productive after the Godfather has already been killed to kill off one of your very own. In a small game of only 13 people there couldn't be no more than what 3 mafia members?

What would you have done? Would you have killed off a fellow member if you knew he was on your side?

Acowherd is the jailer.

Once a night he can throw someone in jail and prevent them from doing their night roles, being investigated, or being killed.

Jailer - Can choose one person each night. The targeted person is put in jail and is prevented from performing their night action, and is also protected from night actions that would have affected the targeted person. In one variant, the Jailer may operate during the day, such that the person is effectively kidnapped (and appears to have been killed), but then returns the next day.

Here is my guess. I'm betting that's because I was the next intended target. And since you threw me in jail the mafia wasn't able to kill me as intended. And for this I owe you my thanks and my sincere gratitude for saving my life.

Because the saving could have been unintentional and thus unknown to him if he wasn't aware that a killer was after me.

I was simply pointing out that there is more than one hypothesis behind no one dieing last night simply because I was in jail other than jumping the gun and coming to the conclusion that I was the killer.
