I am wondering how much weight will be added to the ATS-V with a different engine, brakes, etc. Hopefully it can retain most of the weight loss. Can't wait to see it in a V!!

I'm aware the M5 is a sedan and the M6 is a coupe so they aren't really changing them all that much from a naming stand point. I would say you are undercutting by a couple hundred punds there. The sub 3400 will be a base, NA 4 banger. They say the V6 will be in the 3600 pound range. i would estimate the ATS-V around 3800 pounds.

Not sure where you heard that. GM listed the V6 at 10.8 lbs/HP. If the 315 HP figure is correct, the V6 is just over 3400 lbs.

Well they got it wrong.

Alpha was grossly overweight until upper management said that heads would roll if it didn't meet its initial weight targets. The mass reduction program was very effective.

Just saw this car in person at the DC auto show and it looks 20 times better in person that in pictures i cant wait till the coupe version is out cause this might be my next car when i pay off the camaro.
