eh not sure on your math here but.

60/65 = 0.92 minutes per mile
0.92*60 = 55.2 seconds per mile
10*55.2 = 552 seconds per 10 miles
552/60 = 9.2 minutes

At 95 miles per hour it would be
60/95 = 0.63 minutes per mile
0.63*60 = 37.89 seconds per mile
10*37.89 = 378.9
378.9/60 = 6.3 minutes

That advice is a whole lot of FAIL. Who's responsibility is it to recalibrate?

BTW, something to think about: Here in AZ, if you are speeding faster than 85, it is CRIMINAL SPEEDING, that means you can go RIGHT to jail (maybe not always likely, but big penalties are and excessive speed can easily end you up there), on the other hand, if it's below that, it's simple "speed faster than prudent given conditions", which isn't exactly a "free-for-all" and you can still get a ticket, but what you don't get is "20mph over, blah blah". There are still laws about residential areas and such, but on highways, it pays to know this one. Don't be going faster than 85 unless you can deal with the consequences, because they are going to be a lot worse here.

Does it really matter who's was responsible for calibrating after install hypothetically speaking ?? Like stated wasn't sure if this would work as I have heard of people trying this . Desperate times equal desperate measures and this dude is desperate as so would I be and if I were Him I would be looking to try anything to save my ass from losing my driving priviliges .

Back in the early 80's my dad was pulled over for 12 over and my dad went to court to fight the ticket. In an effort to fight the ticket, he swore that the needle on his car was right on the posted limit, that he saw the officer and that there was no way he was speeding. Judge had the car examined and it was found that the speedo was defective from the factory. Judge ruled that my father was operating a motor vehicle and it was MY FATHER'S responsibility to make sure everything was operating correctly. He was then fined for operating a vehicle that was "not in repair"....plus the ticket.

The problem for the OP here is NOT that he had an incorrect speedo...he was not given a speeding ticket. He was cited for wreckless driving...HUGE difference. And if you look at the ticket, the word RACER is written to the right. This is going to be ugly, but at least the OP is alive and stands to learn from this.

And yes: I have tested my machines from time to time...on empty roads and by myself, so I am not preaching...just scared to death that the OP chose to test his mettle on a snowy morning in moderate traffic to try to make it to work. Only guy who should EVER drive like that when trying to get to work is a porn star...for obvious reasons.

Good luck in court OP.

It all depends on the judge and what mood he is in that particular day . I was only giving him one example of what he could look into Using to plea his case as I stated I wasn't sure if it would work . The first thing I stated was to get a lawyer because there is no doubt he needs one if he plans to keep his license and OP if your reading this do not go to any court proceedings without a lawyer because the judge will pull your license right away .

Buy the biggest bottle of this that you can find and take it into court with you...when the judge asks why you brought it, tell him to help you ease what is coming next. If he has a sense of humor - you may be golden. If not...well, at least you are prepared.

In all seriousness...get in touch with a lawyer asap.
