Haha. This is interesting. Im only 28, never heard of this before. I asked some guys at work, mostly my age and no one heard of it. Called up my dad and of course he had. Piece of car history learned today. So then I asked my wife and her response was "that sounds dumb". Btw this post is not an opinion of mine, just a statement of reactions. I think for me it would be odd to see that. Are there any cars made today that use this placement?

What about the floor mounted mounted wiper washer pumps? My first car had one...always thought that was odd.

Not that I know of. I liked the floor mount switch better too.

The only real disadvantage i see from the lever instead of the floor switch is because sometimes I'll accidentally flash my brights while turning on my signal and the person infront of me thinks im a d**k. & when turning my brights on accidentally putting on my signal.
